Not as great as everyone says it is. I was very excited for the cooling feature because I sweat a lot at night and after the first night with this mattress, I've never sweated more in my life. And it's been multiple night, still have yet to notice the cooling feature. Very disappointed that this is non existent..:

When we first slept on our new mattress we thought, "This is much harder than the one we chose at the store!" But upon checking, we realized it takes 30-40 nights to get it as soft as the ones in the store. We walked around on it a while, and now it is quite comfortable.

Delivery was messed up twice with no regret for the impact it made on our lives. Limited communication to fix the issue; we were told we would get free pillows to make up for the difficulty, no communication since. When we reach out to Tempur-Pedic we were met with condescending responses and messages stating they couldn't find our order with our email despite sending screen shots of the purchase and exchanges with customer service. Despite the like or dislike of the bed we will never purchase from this company again. Customer service makes the difference and what we have received has been horrid

Greatest mattress ever. When we first got it we had some hesitations. Learned that you have to wait 5 to 6 seconds when you first lay down or roll over for the mattress to conform and support your entire body. We have not slept so well in years. No bed shake felt when either one gets up or down during the night. Love it !!!

This mattress was a great purchase! Both my wife and I suffer from back pain and this firm mattress that adjusts has improved our sleep tremendously! We love that we can adjust the height of both the head and feet....this allows pressure to be taken directly off of the lower back. The firmness of the mattress did take a night or 2 to adjust to, but we are so happy with our decision.

My Tempur-ProAdapt Firm mattress is so extremely comfortable. For the first time in a long time I'm sleeping through the night and waking up without pain. This is a luxurious mattress. The only slight drawback is that it's much higher than my previous Tempurpedic mattress, making it a little difficult for a shorter person to get into & out of bed. Still, I absolutely love this mattress!

So my ultimate heaven of a mattress has had a long back story. I started with the cloud - and I liked it ok (definitely is soft) but it was not supportive enough (I have back pain). I returned it online and then bought the Adapt Medium Hybrid from their Tysons Virginia store. It was excruciating to deal with their online support people and when the delivery company finally came (after a lot of back and forth with Tempur customer service) the company told me they have no documentation about needing to pick up the old mattress (after my confirming with the Tempur multiple times) but they were willing to take it away - after giving them an extra $40 on the side! So - the adapt hybrid helped my back but my shoulder started hurting, I wasn't wild about the bounce, but I would have kept it if it wasn't causing pain- I had it for a couple of weeks tried a topper (helped my shoulder but then my back would hurt). Because I had done a return to online and purchase in store, and my family knew of the bed difficulties, I was offered the additional money as a birthday present and bought the Pro-adapt Medium (which felt perfect when I tried it in the store). I started reading these reviews only after ordering and was terrified it would be too hard given all the reviews. But - it came at last yesterday, at first it was ok but a little firm (and very cold) - I sped up the softening by adding an electric blanket for a few hours. And I have to say this bed is THE BOMB. I'm on a tight budget, and I really think Sealy could easily perform some obvious belt tightening (their processes are necessarily cumbersome, outmoded and there seem to be countless people employed who are rather unhelpful (honestly clueless and useless and I don't say this lightly). But after all the frustration, and the insane amount of money they charge (plus the 2xs paying their obnoxious $175) I can say the Pro-Adapt Medium is worth it - it is truly a doughy oasis - no pain at all - perfect softness and yumminess, but also supportive.

Both my husband and I were experiencing regular back pain with our previous mattress. That pain has been eliminated since the first night with the Tempur-ProAdapt Hybrid. I actually look forward to getting in the bed every night now!

It was time for a new bed. We had a 12inch memory foam and it was super worn in. We went into the store with open minds on different types of beds. We tried out several different types but ultimately still preferred medium/ soft beds. We tried out the medium hybrid bed with the bed frame that vibrates and lifts the bottom and top mattress. Absolutely love it and I wish we got a new one sooner. Sleep ten times better on it. It's not to soft and not to firm. I have bad shoulders and I'm a side sleeper, not once so I wake up in pain. It's definitely worth every penny.
