I was sleeping on a 20+ year old mattress with a down mattress topper that was getting along in years also- needing a new bed I tried everything I could lay on. After going back to the same store 4 times I decided on the Pro adapt Hybrid because of the give and bounce from the springs and the promise of sleeping cooler with the cooling cover and the cooling layer. After sleeping on this bed for 3 weeks I was still very unsure of it, it didn't feel cushy enough and it is definitely not cooler (I sleep very warm). I recently spent the night at my brothers house sleeping on a firmer tempur-pedic and now my bed feels much more comfortable in comparison. So far so good, just really wish it was actually cooler and didn't hold the heat so drastically- even with cooling sheets. I'm really liking the comfort level at this point but my lower back pain and knee pain isn't much better. Fingers crossed for continual improvement the longer I sleep on it and get used to it. Just wish I loved it the way I wanted to love my new very expensive mattress.

From what I am reading, it takes some time to break in. If you prefer a firm mattress, this is the one for you. It's very very high quality and I have had pretty great sleep so far.

We love this mattress. We've slept on it for several months now and love it more and more every day. We did try the medium firmness mattress and did not like it at all, but the soft is perfect for us. We've owned Sleep Number beds, exclusively for 20+ years, but decided to try something different and are so glad we did. Would highly recommend this mattress to everyone. The TempurPedic ProAdapt Firm mattress is as anticipated and we have not been disappointed with its purchase or the Power Base that we decided to go with this time around. Both are of excellent quality and have once again been providing a good night's sleep to both my wife and I.

I've had this mattress for about 7 months now and my posture has gotten better as well. I would recommend for those who have only known old box springs, this will be wayyyy better.

The high quality material conforms to my body in a good way. My sleep has improved and I am waking up less each night. I also like that the cover can be removed and washed.

We have a split California king mattress with adjustable bases, medium hybrid. We absolutely love them! It took a couple weeks getting used to the change from a traditional old mattress. My husband had a lot of back pain, and snoring. This has been a life changer! He has no back pain and far less snoring! I look forward to going to bed now! So comfortable! I was leery of some of the very negative reviews, but we haven't experienced any issues! I don't believe they are hot mattresses. We sleep with a sheet and one blanket and it's perfect. I would highly recommend! My husband is a large frame guy and I am smaller, and it works for both of us! Now the next thing will be to see how long they last! But that's a separate subject down the road.

First let me say the mattress feels great... then you fall asleep and suddenly you wake up HOT! I live in Illinois keep my house at 65 degrees and I'm still HOT. That's also considering our bedroom is the coldest room in the house. That so called cooling is only to the touch once you fall asleep it will retain your body heat. The others mattresses DO NOT KEEP YOU COOL, they merely keep you cooler than their regular mattress... so if you're a hot sleeper STAY AWAY!

I had a great experience at Jordan's furniture buying my temperpedic mattress. I purchased the soft option and should have gone a little firmer. But I made the selection, so I have to live with it. It's far superior to my old mattress. I also looked at sleep number bed, but chose temperpedic.

Let's just say, I finally found the perfect mattress. I looked for a year and tried 4 other mattresses before the proadapt firm. We sleep so comfortably and so sound like a baby. We sleep on back and side and it's fine either way. I will have a tempurpedic for the rest of my life.
