Delivered when promised. Truck had lift gate. Driver rolled it into my garage with pallet jack. Robust packaging and banded to a skid. Works as intended with no issues. Surprisingly quiet. I run this on natural gas only. On first attempt to start, It started on 3rd try. When you initiate starting, it will crank for about 5 seconds then stop. I guess this protects the starter. Subsequent starts it fires right up. There is no plastic cover or electrical connection cable included. The 12' gas line hose included is 1/2” diameter. This is the best value I could find for anything comparable.

This thing is nice. I bought it because I have natural gas ram to the house. I'm very happy and only done the break in running my camper but have it to back the house up.

Generator was delivered on time and perfect condition and is everything I hoped for. The tri fuel is the only way to go.

This is a great i have only used it in gas mode. Runs over 8 hours with camper AC on 68. 30 amp camper using the 50 amp plug. Also my buddies generator with out of his camper ran a 30 amp cord from the 220 twist lock and now running his camper also. Very heavy left it in the back of my truck. Loaded it with my tractor .

I bought this after Beryl hit Houston and have since upgraded my gas lines and electrical to have the 50A available to connect. I pre-planned having this unit in parallel so if I do need a 2nd generator I can run these two together and get the full <3% THD at 12.5kW to my home which should be plenty. The unit is very well made, looks nice, and has incredibly low decibel noise compared to my neighbor's duromax open frame. It came with high quality spark plug (TKG) and a magnetic dip stick so both normal aftermarket swaps are already covered here. Draining the oil, changing the plugs/filters, etc. is somewhat difficult though because of the tight space inside the unit so be prepared.

I purchased the GENMAX 4000 iA knowing that I needed to have a powerful, reliable and easy to move unit that could handle operating several things in my house if we ever had a power outage. I am glad that I made this purchase because an ice storm took out our power for 4 days. I set this unit up quickly to run temporary heat and lights, and it handled everything for the entire outage. Super quiet when it was in low idle mode and extremely strong when something demanded power. It ran about 6 Hrs. under heavy load with a full tank of gas. It started back up immediately after refueling with one pull, no problems! The weather was about 12 degrees Fahrenheit, day and night and the GENMAX was perfect! I have owned and operated many generators; this brand is incredible. If you need a small self-enclosed generator, get this product! It’s absolutely worth the money and built incredibly well. Strong, quiet and lightweight! Starting is so easy, which was important to me as well.

Wow! Genmax Nailed on this one – The tri fuel option is a must these days and I will never get a generator without out it. I did some shopping around and this was the only big wattage unit that came in an enclosed inverter while providing me with the running wattage that I needed to power my house. Ordered this unit back in June and the unit arrived at my house less than 3 days later- and the white glove service was impeccable. The guys unloaded the unit for me and dropped it off exactly where I needed it to go which was sweet, I was a little worried about maneuvering this beast but once it arrived the heavy duty handle bars and wheel system make it super easy to move around, youre carrying less than a quarter of the weight. I was looking at the Westinghouse unit which was a few hundred dollars more but was an open unit. The fact that I can keep this unit running outside indefinitely while having it connected to my natural gas line and have people over in my backyard without being disturbed was shocking to me.. the noise level is so low you barely notice it in the background. I also have been in talks with their support team about getting this unit connected with a transfer switch which I will be doing soon – Oscar and the genmax support team were awesome with answering all of my questions and getting back to me with emails – very happy with my purchase after 2 months of owning

We just received it yesterday by freight truck on a sturdy pallet, damage-free, (big shoutout to Pilot Air Frieght and PAF Transportation to get it to us without incident). It's packaged with a combination of sturdy cardboard, plywood and banding. I haven't fired it up for the first time yet, but I have added the oil and connected the battery, both very simple tasks with the provided oil funnel and battery quick connector. Gaining access to these areas is also simple, by removing three 8mm screws on each side. Seeing all of the sound insulation behind the panels leads me to believe that this unit will be far quieter than my previous unit. First impressions are mostly great! Nice touches include the already-mentioned battery quick-connect and oil funnel, in addition to a lighted control panel, easy to use controls and a rain/dust cover for when the generator isn't in use. Comes with pretty much everything needed to run on all three energy sources, save for an electric cord, (although it does come with one 30-amp male plug, you will need to buy a 50-amp cord if you want to use this unit to it's full potential). My only complaint is that I wish the instruction manual had better English. I understand that this product, like many others like it, came from China, so I get it and I'm not really that upset about it. If I'm able to update this review after I run it for the first time, I will do so here, but otherwise, I'm very pleased!

My wife gave me this as a Christmas gift and I just used it this week camping. I appreciate the durability this generator has. Was able to put it to use this week and I couldn’t be happier. Only thing I would say is that it is a little heavier compared to some other ones I’ve previously owned.

Received on Feb11,2025. Was a little disappointed it came with no pallet because it traveled a long way. Upon opening the box they use sheets of wood to protect the top and bottom of the unit. The unit feels well built and came with a lot of accessories and features. It is big and heavy but is manageable with the handles. Everything is labeled on where everything is. Checked and double checked the unit thoroughly. Read the manual twice, added oil and it started on second attempt on Natural Gas, and will only be used to run on NG. This thing is really quiet and only have 15min runtime so I can not say on the longevity but hope it lasts for years with proper care and maintenance.
