It was very smooth and creamy and the nondairy proteins (flaxseed oil, pea and pumpkin seed proteins) didn't throw off the taste at all. At first the stevia after taste hit me a bit because I'm not very used to that, but it was easy to acclimate to and find the rest of the shake enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised at how small and intelligible the ingredients list was and, for having avoided so many common allergens and sensitivities in making this drink, I can't imagine how it could be improved in taste an texture.

I suggest drinking only half at a time, as we can only absorb so much protein at once and too high a dose can stress the kidneys It's thicker than almost all the other protein drinks and it's like drinking milk chocolate. The taste is very artificial, more of a cotton candy tasting chocolate and the zero sugar gives it such a weird taste. Once you sip it, it coats your mouth and throat with a chalky weird film and then BOOM- after taste! The aster taste is SO BAD! It tastes off and made my stomach hurt a little. It also lingers, I had to drink so much water to get the feeling and taste out of my mouth. This is a HARD PASS for me and for anyone looking for a vegan protein drink.

This has a dark chocolate bitter taste and bad aftertaste. It also has a thicker consistency than the usual shakes. I have to squeeze the cardboard part a little to get some shake to come out. It's almost a pudding texture. I'm cooking these down but I'll never buy them again. Gross!

I've tried to drink many zero sugar protein drinks but I haven't tried any dairy-free ones until now I always stared clear because I absolutely did not like the zero sugar ones The taste was just too artificial and had a weird aftertaste and usually those go hand in hand dairy-free and zero sugar, but this has opened a whole new world of protein drinks for me.
