I recently started going on early morning walks and looking to incorporate healthier food options into my daily life. This protein shake came at the right time as I was already looking at options so I was really looking forward to it only to be disappointed. I did not like the chalky taste of it. The texture is also chalky. It leaves a slight after taste and its very watery. I would not recommend it or go out an purchase this product on my own

It’s thick, smooth, and tastes like someone melted a dark chocolate bar into a protein drink — not overly sweet, just clean and satisfying. What I like most is how it doesn’t make me feel heavy or bloated after. It’s vegan, dairy-free, no sugar, no weird aftertaste — just pure, solid nutrition that hits right after a workout or when you’re running late and need something real. But here’s the thing — it’s not a dessert shake. It’s not creamy like a milkshake; it’s more “grown-up clean fuel” kind of taste. You drink it, and you actually feel like you did something good for your body. It’s not the kind of shake you crave — it’s the one you respect. You drink it, and your body goes, “Thank you.”

I bought these for the clean ingredients and high amount of protein. I shook it well before opening it. Tried to take my first drink and it hardly came out. Shook it again, and tried - barely got 1 sip. But that was enough for the horrible taste to hit. To me it doesn't even taste like chocolate, but more of a weird coffee taste (and I HATE coffee). Not sure I can make myself finish the case of these. Money not well spent.

I love that this protein shake uses quality ingredients however, I am concerned about the sodium levels. 325 mg of sodium per 11oz is not considered healthy on any diet. Is there a way to reduce the amount of sodium while maintaining the quality of the product?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was super excited to try out the Owyn dairy free protein drink. 32 grams of protein for 200 calories sounded great to me, especially as a vegetarian who struggles with their protein intake. The chocolate had a hint of malt flavor to it, which I enjoyed. The packaging was typical and easy to travel with. The product did have a bit of an aftertaste, probably due to being sweetened with Stevia. I don’t tend to gravitate towards products made with stevia for this reason, but I’d definitely be open to trying this again if I was in a pinch and needed to pick up a healthy drink on the go.
