The taste is decent, not too sweet, with a slight plant aftertaste. Texture is smooth and filling, and it's convenient as a quick protein drink. Not amazing, but reliable.

High in protein and low in carbs. It's almost like a chocolate milk shake. It's so good I bought a case to take to work daily so I don't have a need to pack a lunch.

They need to be warmed up a bit from fridge temps before they can be shook enough to actually mix em up inside the terra pack. They're a bit too thick to just drink cold, kinda comical how they don't pour out literally at all at fridge temps lol globby. Also, if Flaxseed oil isn't your thing then you'll need to steer clear of OWYN.

I love chocolate protein shakes but I hate most alternative sugars and this one specifically has stevia which I really dislike the flavor of. It had a really creamy texture but very chalky taste I ended up using it in a smoothie with some strawberries and it unfortunately made the flavor worse. The flavor wasn't that bad I probably could've looked past it if it wasn't so chalky but with that and the stevia taste I just couldn't 😞 I do think it's a plus though for being dairy free since I'm lactose intolerant so I really like that and that it's 100% plant based

I love that it has 32 grams of protein and the taste is still good, not too sweet and no chalky aftertaste either. It seems to be the “cleanest” of the protein drinks as far as ingredients, and that is one of the most important considerations for me. It tastes good, maybe not the absolute greatest, but it is very good. I like the protein count of 32g, and I have never had an issue with digestibility. This is a product that I will continue to buy as long as I need to supplement my daily protein.

New year, new me… plus it's chocolate, vegan, and packed with 32 grams of protein for only 200 calories — on paper, it's doing everything right. I also really appreciate how clean and transparent the ingredients are. Everything is easy to read and recognizable, which I love. It's dairy-free, gluten-free, and free from peanuts, tree nuts, soy, egg, sesame, fish, shellfish, artificial colors, artificial flavors, artificial sweeteners, and any creepy chemicals. Major points for that — truly. Now for the honest part: the taste. It definitely tastes like a protein-forward, diet-style drink. It is chocolatey, but more in a “health product” way than a rich or indulgent way. You can tell it's formulated for nutrition first, flavor second — and for me personally, that matters. If something doesn't taste good, I know I'm not going to keep reaching for it. I only tried it on its own, straight from the bottle. I can see potential if it were blended into a smoothie with a banana or something to soften the flavor, but as-is, it just wasn't for me. Because of that, I wouldn't personally repurchase it. That said, I would recommend this to friends or family who are vegan and looking for a solid, clean protein shake. From a vegan perspective, this isn't bad at all — especially if ingredients and allergen-friendly formulas are a priority. I really respect what this product stands for… I just don't love the taste.
