I really wanted to give more stars, the price is great, the texture isn’t chalky, it’s a little thick but less so than premier protein. My biggest complaint though is how chemically it tastes. I normally stick to fairlife because it checks all those boxes as well, but OWYN was almost $10 cheaper.

After trying one, I'll take another one later. According to the manufacturer, the drink must be stored without opening. After opening the package, you need to drink it within a few minutes. At first, it tastes wonderful and it is not chalky at all (some protein shakes can have a chalky texture but this one was smooth). It smells like chocolate too. However, the taste is not chocolate at all. It’s just sweet. It also leaves a bad chemical taste behind. I really wanted to love it, but just couldn’t get beyond the aftertaste.

It also does not have whey which definitely impacts my hormones. However it is very pea protein forward which definitely affects the taste and gives it a bit chalky texture. I do also love the fact it is packed with 32g of protein, but I personally can not get over the taste so I will keep looking for other options. The chocolate flavor did not feel as good as Orgain for example so maybe I'll try the vanilla before I move onto another brand. It definitely gave me a feeling of satisfaction and I did not feel hunger for a few hours, great meal replacement on the go if you don't care too much about the taste lol

I put it in the refrigerator overnight and it was perfect! So good and love that it has 32g of protein! As a vegetarian I really don’t get the 30g of protein per meal as my Doctor recommended. This is a great way to get the protein. It’s filling and low in carbs and sugar! Great on the go meal!

It would be fine if you intended to drink it down very fast, but it's definitely not a take your time kind of drink with this flavor.
