I live in the Turks Islands. We lose power frequently and we considered buying a generator for years. Luckily i waited and purchased a gereac model. When we lose power the transition is almost unnoticeable. Within seconds the power is on. Within a month of installation of our Generac Home House Generator, our power went out. As promised, the generator kicked on within 30 seconds. Our living routine DID NOT CHANGE during this 8 hour outage. We ran the Washer, Dryer, and Dishwasher simultaneously, along with our big screen TV. Would never know we lost our regular source of power!

Our power went out and the generac cut on within 3 sec, as the contractor said it would. It did make a loud clunk sound when it cut over, and the generator does make some noise. The clunk sound woke us and the dogs up, and the generator is close to a bedroom, so it did disturb our grandson. The cut-over box (on the outside) is just outside my bedroom, so explains why it woke us and the dogs. Other then that, it works great, and a small price to pay(being woke up) for keeping power on. I love the looks. Contractor was very thorough, and helpful. We needed a new elect panel, so he took care of it. Also needed a larger gas meter and line put in, and he made all the arrangements for us, with our permission. I highly recommend this contractor. We have a neighbor that has a young child, so happy it has locks on it. Our town is known for power outages, so very happy we had it installed.

We live about 27 miles outside town and loose electricity an average of 10 to 12 times per year ranging from a few minutes to several days. We bought the 22kw version of the Generac whole house generator in November 2016 it been just over a year now and I must say WOW. Not only can you not hear the machine while in the house, with such a quick response time when the power goes out you miss very little. It takes a minute for the generator to come on, and when it does you back to normal. This was by far the best money we spent in a long time. Great product, I tell everyone who asks this is the only one to buy.

That's what I like. The generator is always ready for action. Electricity fails, generator cuts on, never misses a lick. Very happy. I have installed three of these on three different homes and have never regretted it. In fact I have increased the value of each home.

We had to have our generac installed because of our child with special needs. We cannot have interrupted electric due to his medical equipment. Our generac gives us peace of mind and protects our new precious baby. It is nice looking and easy to maintain!

This is my second full house generator, our first was 5 years old when our house burned down and we lost the first one. The fire got so hot, it was the oddest thing, the case was intact but the motor and generator inside was a puddle. I travel a lot for work, we live in the country so if we have no power we have no water. Bought it for my wife, we had a snow storm this past year and lost power for 4 days, she ran like a champ

This is my second Generac whole stand by generator. I bought in 2016 and the new one as it has the aluminum housing and it has 5K more power, even I really did not need the extra power. I bought the extended warranty. So far it works just fine – we have only one outage and that lasted about 6 hours. I live in the Houston area and the time we really need a generator are hurricane type events and those can keep the areas powerless for up to three weeks. Before I bought my current home, the neighbors reported to me with we had hurricane Ike in 2008, they were without power for over two weeks. As long a BIG tree does not fall on the unit, I am ready for the next one.

This is the first review I have ever written in my life. The day after Thanksgiving 2016 we had an ice storm, power was off for 6 days! the day after Christmas 2016 we had another ice storm, this time power off for 7 days! both times we stayed at my parents house (they have a Generac 20K) it ran non-stop every day, both times. We have since purchased a Generac 22K for our home, and it has worked great.

The Generac installation was a matter of eliminating the potential for another long-term electrical outage as had occurred 18 +/- months ago. I have every confidence that the device will function when it is needed, although the need has not occurred since it was installed. It was a matter of not wanting the inconvenience or losses from an electrical outage when I could afford to prevent it. With the device auto-starting weekly, which is not offensive to my home's community, I feel assured that I have done what's necessary to maintain my home and lifestyle regardless of the periodic failure of my local utility to provide power 100% of the time. I am sufficiently satisfied such that I am in the final stages of installation of an identical unit for my "other" home where my son and his family live. The idea is to have it and not need it instead of needing it and not having it. It is a lot better than having a portable gasoline-powered generator which must be connected for use if ever needed (especially when being away for long periods might preclude the ability to re-power the house).
