I have a 22K Generator and it only came into operation one time since installed on 3-25-16, At that occurrence, the technician determined that the problem was insufficient air intake to the carburetor due to a defective air filter element. The installation and Service from my Dealer and employees has been Great, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

No one wants to be without electricity and it’s great knowing we won’t. And, in our case, we raise poultry so we can’t jeopardize losing our incubator, coop heaters, water heaters or lightning. No matter the season in Indiana we rely on our Generac. We recently upgraded from a 17KW to the 22KW and couldn’t be more pleased.

We live in a rural area which is prone to power interruptions, so we felt we needed to have backup power generation capability. After comparing several alternatives, we chose Generac. Installation went smoothly, and the technicians explained everything we needed to know about the system in detail. Since then, our power has gone out twice. Both times, the Generac unit automatically started up, and provided power as advertised. The automatic transition back to commercial power and generator shutdown went smoothly. We are very satisfied with our decision to go with Generac, and highly recommend the system to anyone who needs backup power capability.

Generac system delivers power as advertised. System comes on within 3 seconds of power failure, runs my entire house and shuts off automatically when electric is restored. I appreciate the weekly system check that the Generac generator performs. I keeps me and my family assured that we will never again be without electric power.

Just installed so the actual quality is unknown, however I do expect it to work as advertised. Austin Generator was easy to work with and did everything they promised. While being setup I did notice that it is much louder than I expected. We have it mounted about 50' from the garage and, when it is running, the sound is still very noticeable inside the home. I guess if we loose power, the generator noise will be a small price to pay.

The day after we completed our installation and testing, the power went out due to high winds and storms, withing a few seconds of the power dropping the generator kicked in and we had power once again. The power was out for approximately 2-1/2 hours and when it came back on the generator shut down as expected and is ready for the next outage. Awesome to have such a reliable and efficient product to place peace of mind and a safe feeling up here in the Eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan where the weather brings ice and snow this time of year. We added the cold weather kit and Mobile Link unit as well just to make sure all is ready.

02/05/17 Generac, 22 KW Home Standby Generator Unit, Exceeds Expectation… We purchased the Generac 22 KW model 6551, p/n 45335 from the Northern Tool Company, a Generac Dealer, in August 2016 with free shipping. I made the purchased decision based on my previous experience with a 7.5 KW Generac generator, coupled with the following features… full home stand by unit, aluminum housing, smart switch, cold weather starting kit, flexible fuel line, easy switching from NG to LP fuel, True Power technology, OHVI engine and Quiet-Test..i.e….self starting programmable test and extended warranty. Local dealers assisted me with the installation with no significant problems experienced during the installation along with an instance start up. Great job. On January 25, 2017, 4 months later, our electric went off and was off for 5 hours due to a downed power line caused by a fallen tree. The generator ‘kicked in” automatically, what a relief. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase and having the peace of mind, especially living in the country. From a satisfied customer in Batesville, Indiana.

After Katrina in south Mississippi we were without power and water for 23 days. It was 105 degrees for several days. Miserable. Since then every time a storm would move into the Gulf my tension levels would go off the charts. We decided to fix the problem. In the fall of 2016 we installed a Generac 22kw propane fueled generator. Within 4 months we have lost power 5 times due to tornadoes and storms. The last outage the generator ran 10 hours straight with no problems. We were the only house in our area with lights. It was awesome! We don't worry about power failures anymore. We love this generator and it's one of the best investments we've made. I can't stress enough the peace of mind we have now. Thank you Generac for standing by!!!

Pretty straight forward install. My actual costs were about half what a pro quoted not including chasing parts and my labor. Commissioning was straight forward also. Notable notes: Im not 100% satisfied on the auto start. The engine start takes longer than i like and it stumbles a bit. Plan to recheck gas service. Its also a bit louder than expected. From pre buy conversations with local dealers i dont expect much support either because i didnt give them the total sale. Consider that before you buy from a wholesaler.. I will review again after the first power loss.

So far our generator has been working as expected and after two winter storms, we are lucky of no main power lost. However it feels good to have our standby guardian on call, just in case. Winter is not over and the worst is yet to come, but we feel very safe.
