I had the 22kw unit installed recently. A few days after it was installed our power went out. It started up right away and we all the electrical power we needed. I recommend the unit to my brother and he bought it and is very satisfied with his purchase. I would recommend the 22kw unit model 6551 to anyone.

We purchased our new Generac 22KV generator with the knowledge that we were getting a leader in the industry of home back up generators. The crews worked all day and did a great installation. We haven't had a power outage yet but we fill confident that when we have one our generator will work wonderful!

No more messing around with a portable generator, trying to pull the cord to start it, filling it, being sure we have enough cans of gas for an emergency! Hoping we are home when the power goes out so that we can start the generator going, or if it runs out of fuel. With our Generac 22KW Guardian whole-house generator, we don’t have to worry. Nice-looking unit. So quiet compared to portable generators. Best features:Transfer switch kicks on automatically whenever there is a power outage. Powers up and checks itself periodically, green light/yellow light/red light alerts us if something is wrong. Overall, a great investment that adds value to our Florida home if/when we want to sell. Love it!

This is a great Generator for those considering a Whole House Solution. But, I was disappointed with the Mobile Link Accessory - the Local Installer could not find where to plug it into the Controller and Generac has not responded to request for Assistance - I have useless accessory at this point.

We just completed our installation of our new 22KW standby genset. The other unit the 16KW was installed in 2009 and still runs fine however, out over all load/demand grew to the point that the 16kw unit was struggling with the load - which is amazing that it still supported over its capacity. They improved the design - adding a skirt for looks and over all I am impressed with the performance of both units. We reallocated the 16kw unit to our garage. We are so happy we purchased our generator. Many neighbors were buying the Guardian Series Generac generator and raving about it. We now don't have to worry when the power goes out to not have our house air conditioned or our refrigerator not working. We love how we can monitor it from the app and see when it comes on when we are not home. No regrets and we highly recommend to have this Generac product installed in your home!

Our Generac was installed in November, 2022. So far we haven't needed it yet but it's great to know that in the event we lose power it's there to take over. Our installer was great, did an excellent job and provided all the information we need to keep it ready when needed. I have the Mobile Link app on my phone and PC to check that it is ready and exercising as scheduled, so far it's been right on time. We couldn't be more pleased.

I helped my elderly parents move into a home with all electric services. Last winter, that area had no power for 3 weeks after a heavy snowstorm downed power lines. This is the first house they’ve ever lived in without a fireplace or heating oil so it was important to me that they have a generator before this winter set in. Thankfully, the vendor I chose, Roe’s Abode, had equipment in stock and provided everything we would need! They even were able to replace the electrical panel when they discovered that the main switch wouldn’t turn off the power to the house! Professional, efficient, and friendly AND fully equipped to get the job completed quickly! Makes my parents and I sleep a lot more comfortably knowing the house is covered in the event of an outage!

I am extremely happy and satisfied with the performance and features of the unit. I have a 3600 sq. ft home with 7 tons of A/C. The unit handled everything I could throw at it and didn't miss a beat. However, the unit has a small oil leak at the oil filter mounting base. The installer has changed out the oil filter on 3 occasions thinking it may have been a bad batch of filters. Both he and I think it is most likely an issue with the mounting surface that may be slightly warped as we cannot see any scratches or nicks. We are working with Generac to have this issue resolved and as of yet, it has not. Other than this, I am extremely satisfied and would have put quality as excellent if it were not for this one issue.

We bought this unit after several frustrating power outages and we couldn't be happier. Our electrician is one of their distributors. So he was able to install it for us and get it up and running in half a day. It is pretty quiet, considering how big it is, and we can run most of our house with it. So far we only had to use it once for about 10 minutes, but it worked flawlessly. We highly recommend Generac!
