That's what you get with a Generac whole house backup generator. 22kw will power everything in the event of an outage, so I don't gave to worry that my family will be cold or hot, won't gave water or lights or a working alarm, or that my basement might flood. The price was very reasonable and the electrician recommended by Generac was very professional and did a very clean installation in short order. I couldn't be more pleased.

This is my second purchase. The product works well once it gets going, but not all installers are particularly well trained and the setup configuration through the wireless and internet proved very tough. In fact, my second one still isnt up and running after a couple of weeks

This product is everything you can hope for. It certainly takes a lot of your mine in case of a power outage especially during a storm/ hurricane. I don't have to worry about filling up gas cans, and preparing my portable generator anymore, along with running extension cords .

We received our Generac in July and used it the first time in the beginning of August. The Gererac Guardian 18kw worked great as expected. It was so nice to have electric when our neighbors were out. It let us run the air conditioner which was a plus. It was so nice to have it automatically turn on and off by itself. I Love the new Generac and so does my husband. I hate losing electrical power — no heat or cooling, no lights, no Internet. In the past, I’ve lived in areas where power could go off for days. No more! I had a 22 kw Generac installed a year ago. The peace of mind it provides is priceless. When the lights go out, I count to 6, and I hear the generator start. Then I count to 15, and the lights come on. During the last year, we’ve had four multi-hour power outages. The Generac has never failed: Within 25 seconds, power is back on every time. I will never live without a whole home generator again.

I had an electrician install this generator brand new out of the box. It started right up and worked fine, however we couldn't get the Wifi module to work. I called Mobilelink and we couldn't figure it out, so I had to have a service tech come out to trouble shoot. Turns out the wifi module wasn't even plugged in. So we plugged it in, connect to the internet and did a software update that ultimately fried the control unit, so now the generator won't even start. The control unit is now on order and am waiting with a very expensive giant paperweight sitting in my yard. To make matters worse, there is currently a heat wave with rolling power outages and my generator is just sitting there doing nothing except burning a hole in my pocket.

I order this unit after my electric service decided to start turning off power depending on weather and wind conditions. We had to wait an long time due to high voulme of generator installs and weather. After suffering thru several power outages due to weather we finally got our unit installed yesterday. They struggled to even get into our house but they managed. The installation was completed yesterday afternoon with 8-19" on snow on the ground. We currently have cold storms on the way hope the power stays on for others but we no longer woory. I would highly recommend this product for peace of mind and power outages

Finally have power peace of mine with the startup of a 22KW whole house generator. No more hassle of a portable generator with limited power and worrying about getting gasoline to keep it going. The generator has clean lines, and the wifi provides monitoring through our generac dealer. My only regret was not doing it sooner. Feel good about protecting my home and family from mother nature. With lots of generacs in our neighborhood feel good about selecting a proven, quality, reliable power solution.

After several power outages, my wife and I decided to invest in a Generac whole home standby generator system. Our local installers did a great job in setting it up. Though we hope to never have to use this system (our weather patterns show we most likely will in the near future), just knowing that it is on automatic standby, brings great peace of mind to our family. Installed in one day, February 2009. Has been very reliable ever since. Programmed to "exercise" for 12 minutes every week and has done so. Maintenance is only oil & filter changes and spark plugs every two years. Have only had to replace the trickle charge module after 9 years of operation. Cost to purchase and install is worth the peace of mind it brings. This units powers approximately 80% of our whole home.
