Installed in one day, February 2009. Has been very reliable ever since. Programmed to "exercise" for 12 minutes every week and has done so. Maintenance is only oil & filter changes and spark plugs every two years. Have only had to replace the trickle charge module after 9 years of operation. Cost to purchase and install is worth the peace of mind it brings. This units powers approximately 80% of our whole home.

Before you buy a generator try to find the parts manual for it and then try to order a generic part. Good luck. My dog ate the auxiliary shutoff switch so now I've got a useless piece of crap sitting in my yard. One call from the "monitoring" company and then nothing. I tried calling back and they acted like I was irrational. My dog destroyed the cell antenna and literally destroyed the switch. I could easily replace both IF I COULD FIND PARTS.

My husband and I recently had the 22K Guardian home backup generator installed and we are extremely pleased with it and the dealer that installed it was very professional with us from the time we contacted him until the installation was complete. The peace of mind is worth every penny.

I purchased this generator 6 months ago and have spent more time down than running. First was the loss of rpm and won't start on a maintenance run and next the one and only time I needed it the transfer switch failed cause the factory did not fully seat the transfer coil cables. Now after I finally get the new transfer switch test it out and then today on maintenance run I get the great 1505 code and will have to wait again for a service call. Another 200 dollars to have someone come out. I hope the power doesn't go out again. Looking back I wish I never went with Generac, do your research.

Living down south we deal with storms half the year. I was tired of pulling out a portable generator and having it not start much of the time. I had this installed and a week later we had a storm which knocked out the electric at 2 am. It was nice to hear my generator kick on and the hum from it put my right back to sleep. Best investment for my home.

Very impressed with the customer service by salesman and installers. Everything went as promised. Delivered on time as planned. Installers were very easy to work and eager to satisfy our location requirements. The installation was very professional and organized. I was very impressed how clean looking the unit looked at here completion of the project

I bought my first Generac (Centurion) 15k watt, 15 years ago. That one served my family and my home amazingly. As "Bessie" has now been layed to rest. I knew I was only purchasing another Generac. This one is 22k Watt. Quieter, electronic. and I already have the trust in this one. Worth, every penny. Generac is dependable and reliable. Trouble free and easy to maintain!!

Recently purchased my second Generac getting a bigger unit for whole house power. The Generac unit I previously had was half the size of my new unit and had provided backup power on several occasions, the most was for 41 hours running uninterrupted. It has been the best investment for my home and an additional benefit was when I notified my insurance company of the installation they noted that I would get a credit on my policy for having the generator and that it would also add value to my home. IT WILL NEVER DISSAPOINT YOU!

I can't speak for the generator itself because we just finished with the installation and walk through with operations. Work crew did and excellent job, They were both very knowledgeable of the product and acted in a very professional manner. I could not ask for better service from the office people or the installation crew at Mississippi Energy Services. If the generator preforms as well as the office personnel and the installation crew I will be very pleased..

I became interested in the concept of having full backup during power outages for my home. I also liked the idea of an automatic system to do this. Generac has provided me with this alternative in a sensable, cost effective product which seems to completely fill my needs.
