These tamales were a great size! I was so excited to see how big they were but the taste was just off. They didnt taste like any pork tamales I've had before and pork are my go to. Chalky and bland. Disappointed with flavor but 3 stars due to size and packaging. Great instructions / ease of heating.

I was impressed by the packaging. I truly enjoyed that each bundle was vacuum-sealed. Then, to keep them moist in the vacuum-sealed package, heat a la souis vide in a hot water bath. Once it was served and I cut into it, I truly enjoyed the moist, warm taste of the bite, with a hint of spicy heat. Even my 2-year-old son enjoyed them!

I'm not really sure where to start here, so I'll just start with a little background. My grandmother handmade tamales when I was growing up and so when I saw these I was instantly interested, and skeptical. The packaging was perfectly fine, but I was surprised to see that they were essentially "boil in a bag" tamales. I could have microwaved them as well, but I opted for the boil method as that was recommended. I boiled one bag for 20 minutes and afterwards, I could already smell them...which means the bag was not fully sealed, I guess. When I cut open the bag I was instantly struck by just how greasy these things were (you can see that in the picture). The smell was okay (not too great, but not bad), and the texture was fine. There is a lot of meat and a good balance with the masa. The flavor was about a 4/10 if I'm comparing it to homemade, but probably 7/10 compared to other premade or prepackaged tamales. Overall, they are just okay. Tamales are not a healthy selection ever, but the amount of grease on these was really hard to handle on my stomach.

We love these tamales! Padrino Tamales are bigger than others I’ve tried. They have a tasty thick corn wrap and hearty pork and veggie filling. They also come conveniently wrapped in 3 packages of 4 for a total of 12. Great for just the 2 of us! I opened 1 package and froze the others for another fresh meal later. I will definitely buy again.

Love how the tamales come packaged, 3 boil bags of 4 tamales in each. Very convenient if you want just a serving size for yourself. Love how they have two different methods of cooking, on stove top in boiled water or in microwave. Super tasty and the tamales are generously filled.

These are very good! And very easy to prepare. The boil in the bag makes for a super easy cleanup.I appreciate the healthy ingredients and the made from scratch taste without all the hassle and messiness. It is definitely worth a try and a fast go to dinner option.

They tasted just like ones you get from orders from individuals at Christmas time. Had some family members try and they said they were okay maybe a little dry. I steamed them and didn’t make a sauce. I would purchase but make a sauce to go over the top.

The tamales come in a small cooler with anotice letting you know the date that they must be refrigerated or frozen by and the contract information if delivered after. The heating instructions are clear and easy to follow, i tried both the stove and microwave methods and i definitely prefer the stove version because i felt like it had more even heating (it could have just been my microwave). The dozen comes in 3 packages of 4 so you can enjoy them when you are ready without having to finish off the full dozen at once. On to the flavor, I was surprised att how good they were, they had a little spice but not over powering. Like most tamales they are a bit greasy but nothing out of the ordinary on that front, the benefit of that is they slide right out of the husks really easy. Each tamale has a great amount of meat and it is evenly spread so you aren't getting mouthfuls of the masa. I would definitely recommend giving them a try if you love tamales but remember how much work goes into making them.

I was excited to see this product, I love tamales and it seemed like a great quick meal. Guess what I was right ! It was so easy to drop the bag in boiling water to cook. These came out moist and full of flavor. Paired with rice and beans and you have yourself a full meal. I hope to see other flavors soon. So if you need a quick meal this is a great buy. Enjoy

My family enjoyed these Padrino pork tamales! The flavor and corn husk were very authentic! These tamales came in two individual bags and fully cooked. All I had to do was put the tamale bag in boiling water for a few minutes and wala dinner served! Very convenient and full of flavor! This is an item I would definitely keep on hand for a quick and easy meal!
