These are tamales are convenient to heat and nicely-sized portions. The taste, however, is flavorless and disappointing. The pork filling is mealy, has lots of "bits" and gristle, and not recognizable as pork in texture or flavor. The masa has no flavor and is dry.

When I was a small girl in St.Louis, we had a tamale man who pushed his cart every Saturday selling his homemade tamales, they were so yummy! I have eaten many tamales in my 75 years, these were just like the tamales of my childhood, so yummy, please give them a try you are going to love them!

I liked the former brand and hoped these would be equally good. WRONG! I tried 2 of them. I can’t stomach the rest and they will be tossed. They were extremely greasy. They were filled with something like overcooked ground meat. Gritty would be the word. I like to give good reviews but I can only say: buyer beware!

I loved the flavor of these and appreciated the hint of heat. However, the amount of grissle I found during my first two was a bit off putting. The texture of the pepper seeds? was not ideal but is probably what helped with the spice level. Overall I am glad I gave them a chance but would not buy again or recommend.

We absolutely LOVE Padrino tamales! ❤️They are so easy to use and are very delicious! I really like that there are three packs of four tamales in each box. That means my sweetie and I can just take out one pack for a meal. No waste! One extra benefit is they are not dry. Blot off any excess (we leave it!).

These taste delicious. The meat tasted like it was cooked at the time we ate it. BUT.... every other bite has hard bits in it. We couldn't figure it out. One bite would be a light color piece (tiny) then the next bite would be a round darker bit. Maybe off a pepper. It wasn't pleasant to get that crunch where it shouldn't be in a soft bite of tamale. For that we can't continue to buy these. They are delicious. The husk is very oily. It's better once you remove the husk.

Tried this newer brand for the first time and definitely disappointed. Good amount of filling but the quality of the meat was not good and there were a few hard pieces I couldn't chew. There wasn't much meat - it was definitely more filler - couldn't quite decide what it was. Prefer the previous brand with a more authentic shape (square) and taste. Will not purchase again.

Omg these are tamales are the best they’ve had so far I’ve notice everyone talking about the grease that’s not grease thats what makes the tamales well moist not like the dry tamales they had. Super easy to heat up. GREAT JOB GUYS on killing it with these tamales. Only bad thing is wish they had a chicken tamale

It's been awhile since I bought tamales at Sam's. I'm pretty sure this is a different brand than before. I was expecting shedded pork, as before. This was almost like a potted meat consistency. The flavor was good, the texture was very off. I probably won't buy it again.

About 2 years ago Sam’s had great tamales! They brought in another brand which was gone in a month (not great). For the last year and a half they have this current brand. Disgusting. Greasy. Greasy. You folks who had rave reviews are either on the payroll and/or do not know what tamales are suppose to taste like like. There are different styles and flavors depending on the region but nowhere will you get a tamale as bad as these. REALLY BAD!
