I absolutely love the Bentgo Kids Chill Lunch Box! It fits so much food and keeps everything cool. I can put a sandwich, string cheese, drinkable yogurt, berries and little pretzels in and I know they will stay in place. It is also very easy for my 4 year old to open and close it while he is at school.

This backpack has worked well as a diaper bag for my one year old! She needs a packed lunch for daycare, and her bentgo box fits perfectly in the bottom- with an ice pack! Her teachers always know where to find her things. I can keep her organized, so they aren’t fishing around her bag for her lunchbox. It also leaves plenty of room for bottles and changes of clothes in the top portion. I’m confident this bag will last her I still preschool!

The compartments on this box are the perfect size to pack a toddler or a young child’s lunch or assortment of snacks when going out. That said, it is not the easiest kind of case to close. My son would certainly not be able to do it himself. Also, I think that the cooling layer causes some moisture and extra wetness to the food inside the case that is not entirely desirable.

I was looking for a backpack for my son who was about to start his preschool. The main criteria was for it to be spacious, high quality, accommodate A4 folder and have a place on its side for a water bottle. This backpack meets all these criteria and even more. I love the idea of a build-in lunch bag! It’s super convenient!

This backpack/lunchbox is well made. It is larger than my 4 year old granddaughter, but, she expects to wear it anyway. The lunchbox in the bottom holds the Bentgo Fresh box and a 12 Oz. pre-packaged drink. It also holds a 1.4 Oz. pouch of pop tart bites and a sandwich bag of Chex Mix, both laid out as flat as you can on top of the fresh box. The mesh pouch on the side of the backpack also holds a 14 oz. Munchkin brand Miracle 360 Sippy Cup. Perfect set-up for school necessities, change of clothes, lunch and snack!

We love our Bentgo Chill lunch boxes. We have 4! And two of the snack containers. They hold up so well to my two rough and tumble kiddos. We use them for school, picnics, road trips and more. I recommend them to all my friends. If you’re hesitant on the price tag know it’s worth it. You don’t have to replace these constantly like cheaper brands. They are well built and worth every dollar.

Super expensive yet the construction feels super flimsy like cheap plastic Easter eggs. The pieces have a hard time connecting together. It's possible to latch the box closed even though the cold pack insert and the food tray aren't connected perfectly, which means there is a gap for soft foods like yogurt or applesauce to spill out and make a huge mess. Would never buy again.

Great for my kindergartener! The bottom lunch holder area takes away from the book bag depth. But she can still carry her home folder back and forth. It can get heavy, since she is in aftercare and takes lunch and snacks. We also go the bento lunchbox too, in hindsight I probably need a separate lunch box for the bentgo and her snacks. We are making it work.

It’s difficult to get the tray in and out to put the ice pack in. Which is a slight inconvenience and may get easier with time. The bigger issue is it’s pretty difficult to open and close for my 3 year old. Which leads to spilled and mixed food, defeating the purpose of buying a leak proof option, my 5 year old is capable of closing properly- so definitely possible just difficult for small hands

My children had a non ice pack model that lasted for 3 years and was used daily. We purchased these for this school year. It is difficult to close and open. My first grader was able to independently open and close the other model and now she has to ask for help daily. Not the independence I want to foster. I appreciate that the ice pack can be reused, but I wouldn’t purchase again…especially for the price.
