We weren’t sure at first if this backpack would fit a kindergartner but after receiving it we think it’s sized perfectly to match anyone within the first years of school. We like that it also has a lunch box compartment so we don’t have to worry about that. I’m glad we picked this one.

My new 9th-grader didn't want to take a traditional lunch box to school this year, so I searched online and found this one. We originally didn't consider it because it's a "kids" box, but the adult version offered does not have the removable freezer tray, which she needed to keep certain things cold. So we went back to the Kids Chill and chose the gray color, which toned down the "kid" factor. Upon arrival, it doesn't look like a kids box at all - it's very stylish. It does get a little heavy with the freezer tray in, but that's to be expected. Still way more compact than a lunch box. Only complaint is when she put yogurt in one of the compartments, it leaked over into the neighboring compartments; not a biggie but we won't be putting anything that liquid-y in again. Overall great product, especially for the price!

I bought two of these to use for meals on the go for my toddler. One of my best purchases to date for him! This all in one system keeps 4 different food items cooled and secure and separate. I love the ease of packing up all of the healthy finger foods I prep at home and taking them on the road. Even better, cleanup is a breeze. Soap and water +- running the food tray through the dishwasher and this kit is ready for the next meal. I suspect these Bentgo boxes will be part of our routine for many years to come!

I purchased this backpack for my granddaughter. She takes her lunch to school every day, and she loves this backpack. Having a separate section for the lunch and snack at the bottom is genius. In case we have something leak it doesn't get her books/folders wet. She loves the pen pockets/dividers.

My daughter was given one of these as a gift and we loved it so much we bought more! They are a great size for kids and close securely so they can be bounced around in a backpack with no problem. My kids love getting a little variety tray for their lunch and it makes it super easy for the daycare teachers!

We love this chill lunch box. I think it’s good quality. I like that the tray can go in the dishwasher. I wish the whole thing could but I understand that would mess with the seal on the compartments. It held up an entire school year and we would have used it this year but we forgot it in the backpack on the last day of school. I will say that it is airtight because there was no smell until we found it and opened it up to all kinds of things growing in it. Sadly we threw that one away and got a replacement this year. No complaints - just don’t forget it in your kid’s backpack over the summer!

My kid picked this out for his kindergarten year. It took some work to figure out opening and closing it on his own, and at first, he'd sometimes not get it closed back all the way, which created a mess if he had leftovers. More importantly, the ice pack doesn't stay cold nearly long enough to keep everything cool for very long, which could be an issue if you have a later lunch or aren't storing it in a very cool place in the meantime. It would also be nice if there was a carrying bag available for this; it's kind of slippery and difficult for little hands to carry to the lunch room, especially along with a water bottle. We found a small tote bag that worked fine, but having bags made to fit (and maybe to coordinate with the colors or collabs) would be helpful. All that said, the basic usability of being able to separate out his lunch items was great, and being able to toss the insert in the dishwasher was super helpful. We got a 2 pack, but ended up putting the 2nd box away, as we usually run the dishwasher every other day, and the spare ice pack came in handy when we forgot to unpack his lunch box the night before. At the price it was, he'll be using them again this year, but if I had it to do over again, I'd just get the regular bento box and use separate ice packs.

Seems like a great backpack but I just want everyone to know it is huge. Way too big for a preschooler or even kindergarten I would think. Probably the attached lunchbox that puts it over the edge but just consider that. Otherwise quality seems fine.

We haven't used these a lot yet, my daughter starts school in Sept but we got them for snacks on the go from daycare to soccer. So far we really like them, the only thing I noticed is they are quite heavy so I'll be trying the styles without the icepacks as well. The colour is nice, the compartments are good size and there is no leaking.

Good product overall. I'm used to more technical gear, which can maintain temperature for extended/predictable amounts of time. However, this does a good enough job for school lunches. The latch can be a little difficult to open/close, even for the adults in the house.
