The instructions are extremely well. The best I've ever seen. The quality of the wood and hardware is extremely good. This far exceeded my expectations. I did not want an unfinished wood look.So I primed and painted the wood prior to building the structure

We bought this a month ago and built and installed it a few weeks ago. Exactly what we were looking for and the construction is very solid. Fits a 5 pcs conversation set perfectly. Looking forward to enjoying the summer under the new gazebo. Assembly is a little involved and you will need a few friends to help when it is time to stand it and assemble the two halves of the frame. You will also need at least one friend to help put the roof panels up.

It has been 1 year since we bought and installed our gazebo and have had Zero issues. I highly recommend downloading the installation app in conjunction with the manual. It was a simple but time consuming install. It was well packaged and easy to locate part numbers. After assembly, it is very sturdy beautiful wood and design.

I'm so glad I purchased this carport. Originally, we were going to build on an additional garage, but after getting quotes on a project that size, we started looking at other options. Settled on the Norwood Carport by Backyard Discovery and man I'm glad we went this route. I'm 63 and somewhat handy with building things, so I put it together myself. Obviously, doing it by myself posed a few challenges, but all in all it was a breeze. Very simple install. The step by step directions (included) were great, and the labeling of the pieces was perfect. Total install took me about 2 weeks to complete, but that included some special concrete footings which I poured myself since I was installing it on a slight grade (and it was winter) On a flat space this would be super easy. I was amazed how well engineered this structure is. This thing is awesome. The only assistance I needed was to set the roof panels on. I had the panels ready, so with 4 people, we were able to set the roof panels into place in about 1 hour. Once those were on and in place, I was able to secure them by myself. Making sure all was square and plumb; those roof panels went on very smooth. In hindsight, the only thing I should have done differently; I should have stained all wood prior to install. Also, since it was on a grade, I added (taller) customized 6" x 6" cedar posts to accommodate the grade. I plan to use the extra four 6"x6" cedar posts that came with the unit as fence and gate posts on the backside of the carport. I will add pics later.

We bought this a month ago. I took my time putting it up but we have been out under it every night since. The directions were very easy to follow and the holes all lined up perfectly. I was very impressed. I did have to alter the directions a bit, because I was building most of it alone, but the finished product is extremely sturdy and looks beautiful. Already have neighbors asking where we got it. I did shop around, and found Backyard Discovery to have a superior product and reasonably priced. I feel confident it will withstand a NH winter. This is absolutely a substantial and good looking structure. I'll be 80 in 5 months and I built this by myself (had 4 friends in their late 60's and 70's help put the roof panels up onto the trusses). I worked on it 5 hours a day for 5 days ; with the help of my Kubota. My wife and I are completely satisfied with the project; our boat has a place to stay.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Using as a Gazebo. A neighbor put up the same size gazebo from Backyard Discovery, but the hip roof version and it looked great on a poured patio. My relative then put up this version a month later and I also preferred this model for a better sky view (we don't have a mosquito problem). Took about 60 total hours to complete this build.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I put this together over the summer with the help of my neighbors. I worked on it an hour or two at a time and it took me about a week. I was missing one piece and backyard discovery sent it out to me right away. I also built a small deck to put it on. I'm very happy with the finished product. Everyone that comes over loves it!

My husband just built our new gazebo. We love it we had a massive rain last night and the furniture basically stay dry even know there was a lot of wind. The intricate design of this gazebo is amazing. He pretty much built it himself except for needing help with putting the roof up. We are thrilled with our new gazebo.

It was too expensive to build a percent roof covering our back deck. This gazebo did the trick. We installed a sun shade to stop the evening sun so we can enjoy the tranquility of our back yard. And cookout without getting rained on. Would definitely buy again. I put most of it together by myself. You definitely need two or three people to slide the roof panels in place.
