Nice fridge
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought it LG refrigerator two and a half years ago. It has worked great and looks good for all that time. But it broke down at that time. It is under warranty but it has been a bit of a struggle getting it worked on. We have been without a fridge for two weeks now.

Reversible Door (but you have to handle it)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this in part due to the reversible door. We paid the extra fee for installation. Installer would not reverse door. 45 minutes on the phone with LG customer care and their answer is that we need to find someone to reverse it ourselves (and pay for it ourselves). Why did we pay an installation fee???

Looks good, breaks early
There are a lot of things I love about this fridge! It's spacious, looks good, feels sturdy. Did NOT love that the compressor randomly died at 3.5years old. To their credit, LG replaced right away, but spoke to some appliance repair people who said "yup, happens all the time on these LGs" - if it's a known issue, why hasn't it been addressed?
Hey there, Kat! We're happy to see that you are absolutely loving your refrigerator, as it is the heart of your kitchen. It's exciting to see that you are back up and running. If you ever need a helping hand, don't hesitate to reach out - we're always here for you! ~Ivy
Nice refrigerator but few shelf placement options
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I so want to LOVE this refrigerator but it is not working out for me. Bought it when pressure was on and we needed 7 new major appliances in advance of a move to new house. I did not have the luxury of time and did not consider the actual configuration of the interior and how it might not be the best "fit" for someone only 5' tall. Because the interior is so deep and the shelves are all 1-piece, straight across, it is nearly impossible to see the contents, let alone reach them. Would like to see a split shelf option to customize for different foods/storage needs. For me, it just isn't right and now need to decide what's next. Have had it for less than 3 months and cannot imagine using this particular model for the expected lifetime of a major appliance.
First 2 damaged. 3rd one slides on the floor.
The first 2 refrigerators had damaged freezer door handles and never made it to the kitchen. Third one slides on the floor when opening the refrigerator or freezer door(s). Frig and freezer are full. Floor is level. Dissatisfied. Would like a solution.
We're sorry to hear that! Send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter using @LGUSSupport and include #VOC, your contact info and model # and we would be happy to look further into this. Thanks. ^Nikki
It broke less than the 2 year mark
I bought this July 2020. It suddenly stopped working $400 worth of groceries down the trash. I am living check to check to support my family and the least thing I ever thought to break down was the fridge. Aren’t fridges supposed to last you a long time ?
We would love an opportunity to help, however we need to move to a platform that supports back and forth messaging. Please send us a private message on Facebook or Twitter using @LGUSSupport and include #VOC, your contact info and model #.^Sandy
Disappointed
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compressor went out after three years. Thankfully we have a 15 year old refrigerator in the garage that's never had a problem. LG is sending a company out to fix it, but we've been without our LG for over a week now. Plus the freezer drawer is made cheaply and the plastic rail broke off. They sure don't make appliances like they used to. Our old fridge in the garage has been abused so badly (hit by cars, etc.) and it's still plugging away. Stop trying to make things fancy! Just make them work!

Worked Great, Then Didn't
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fridge worked great for awhile but then stopped working all of a sudden before we'd had it 4 years. We loved it initially, but were very disappointed that it gave out so quickly. I hope they're able to fix whatever the issue was since I've heard it's not an uncommon occurrence. So the initial quality was great (would have been 5 out of 5 stars), but because it lacked longevity, the overall quality and rating are lacking.

This unit is less than two years old and this is the SECOND time i have lost food. The freezer just stops working. It is like it gets stuck in defrost mode or something. Also if you open the door to get something out and the door closes behind you the door will not open again for a little while. the suction holding the door closed is so strong you can move the entire refrigerator out pulling on the door trying to get it open.
Hi, there. We're truly sorry to hear about the recurring issues you've been experiencing with your LG refrigerator, specifically the freezer not working and the door suction problem. We can understand how frustrating and inconvenient this must be for you, especially considering that the unit is less than two years old. Regarding the freezer malfunction, it sounds like there might be an issue with the defrost system or a possible component failure. As for the door suction problem, the door gaskets or the door closure mechanism might be causing the excessive suction, making it difficult to open the door. To resolve these issues, we recommend the following steps: - Defrost the Refrigerator: If the freezer is stuck in defrost mode, try unplugging the refrigerator for a few hours to allow it to defrost completely. Then, plug it back in and monitor if the issue persists. - Check Door Gaskets: Inspect the door gaskets (the rubber seals around the door) for any signs of wear, tears, or damage. Dirty or damaged gaskets can affect the door's ability to seal properly. - Check Door Closure Mechanism: Ensure that the door hinges and closure mechanism are functioning correctly. If there's an issue with the mechanism, it can cause excessive suction when closing the door. - Contact LG Customer Support: As the unit is still under warranty, we recommend reaching out to LG customer support at @LGUSSupport on Facebook or Twitter. Provide them with the model and serial number of your refrigerator and a detailed description of the problems you are facing. They will assist you with troubleshooting and arrange for a repair or replacement, if necessary, to resolve the issues. We understand the importance of having a reliable refrigerator, and we apologize for any inconvenience you've experienced. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we want to ensure that these issues are resolved promptly. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to rectify the situation and restore your trust in our products. ^Danee
Performance Fine - Appearance, Not So Much
The product itself works just fine. The stainless steel is the worst material ever! Never looks clean. I am constantly cleaning it and you always see all the streaks no matter what method or stainless steel cleaning product I have used and I have tried many different ones! If you ever do get it looking clean, DON'T touch it! You cannot spot clean. Spend the extra money and get a KitchenAid!
