[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my LG fridge in early June and so far am finding it to be exceptional. Plenty of room in the top freezer and the fridge. Door shelves are sturdy and hold lots of bottles and jars. Think your product was a wise purchase

We've had the refrigerator for about a week. I suspect a lot of you were in the same boat with a 1970s-ish house that really wasn't setup for French doors. The biggest problem is that LG evidently had an intern, who only ever owned a dorm refrigerator with beer in it, do the interior design. At the bottom of the door is a ridiculously strange micro shelf. I wouldn't be surprised if people never even saw it. There are two fold down mini shelves which are . . . strange. We still haven't found a use for them. And the bottom door shelf isn't quite low enough for a gallon of milk although it will fit. If you move the bottom shelf to the lowest position, the micro shelf is all but useless. Inside the refrigerator, any adjustment to the shelves from what's shown in the LG photos is going to make the area above the bottom shelf really small. I think they told the intern to make sure the shelves were adjustable. Making the adjustments more like 1.5" apart rather than the 3" they are today would let you raise the bottom shelf or lower the top shelf just a bit if you really wanted a bit more height for something. Unfortunately, they also must have told the intern to just put the on/off switch for the icemaker wherever they wanted so it wound up being ridiculously inconvenient. But then again, dorm refrigerators don't have icemakers! Given that there aren't a lot of options for a bottom freezer, I'm sure we'll get used to the idiosyncrasies.

Installer would not reverse door. 45 minutes on the phone with LG customer care and their answer is that we need to find someone to reverse it ourselves (and pay for it ourselves). Why did we pay an installation fee???

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator/freezer that now stands in my kitchen is the replacement of an older model of the same brand and model I am very pleased with the updated model. Produces ice and operates at a much lower noise level.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] first time i have ever brought a new fridge and it is great love the multiple drawers in the fridge and the freezer hold a lot. might need to take a shelve out to fit larger items but it gives you the option to make it fit your needs. door might stick sometimes but that's because its running so well. we love this fridge.

I bought this refrigerator about 4 years ago. At that time, Consumer Reports had it rated top dog. They couldn't be more wrong. I don't think they fully tested this model to discover the pitfalls it has. It totally quit in which I had to replace major parts to get it working again. (All under warranty at that time). My biggest complaint is that the ice maker has had trouble making ice from day 1. The repair man, here to fix the major problem, said that because of condensation around the interior keeps freezing up and forming big chunks of ice that prevents the ice maker from working. He said the only way to keep it working was to remove the rear panel to get access to the area of the ice build -up. Then remove the ice build -up. NOT PRACTICAL for 21st century appliances. I definitely wish that I had purchased a different brand. Im afraid I am stuck with this unit because of the amount I paid for it. No more LGs for me.

Total Junk! The compressor went out after 3 years. Replaced under warranty. Broke again 3 months later. Replaced. Then the seals all went bad. We have lost so much food in this process. Cools inconsistently - freezer gets frost and then BAM! THE WHOLE THING STOPS WORKING AND STARTS UP AGAIN A WEEK LATER. DO NOT BUY

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While this is a beautiful refrigerator with a lot of space and bright lights, the refrigerator and freezer door are impossible to open at times. I get the whole vacuum excuse but this is a job for Hercules. I have been exposed to refrigerators my entire life and have never experienced anything like this. We are house flippers who reside in the homes as they hare being renovated so I have personally purchased 10 refrigerators. This however is my first LG. This is definitely a deal breaker. There is no way an elderly person would be able to open this unit. Hercules would have an issue. One most use their foot to push against the freezer door while using their right hand to hold the frame of the unit and use your left hand to yank the door open.

Our last fridge was a French door model and we found it to be inconvenient. We love our new LG single door 26 cu. ft. (33-inch) fridge. It's nice to be able to access the entire fridge at once. It's roomy and the shelving is well designed. We just wish LG made a 28 cu. ft. (36-inch) single door refrigerator/freezer. LG does make 36-inch French door refrigerators. It seems to me they could also make a 36-inch single-door model.
