Nice fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought it LG refrigerator two and a half years ago. It has worked great and looks good for all that time. But it broke down at that time. It is under warranty but it has been a bit of a struggle getting it worked on. We have been without a fridge for two weeks now.

So far so good

I have had reservations about the freezer being on the bottom, but decided to try it. I was disappointed that it didn’t have water dispenser, but since we drink mostly bottled water I thought I’d try this one. I really don’t miss the water and I am pleased so far.

Great amount of space but NOT reliable!

I’ve had the refrigerator for two years and had it break down twice. The first time the ice maker started spilling out water and froze at the bottom of the freezer then spilled out onto floor. This last time the compressor died. We’ve been without a refrigerator for over two weeks. Tech came out and said he wanted to repair five different items that needed replacing. It’s not fully two years old! When I called for a replacement I was initially told it wasn’t possible then it was approved a few days later. I DO NOT recommend this refrigerator.

stop the buzz!!!

I echo complaints about the unit's buzzing sound. The fridge was relatively quiet for the first twelve months but now it is incessantly buzzing, filling my LR, kitchen and one BR with noise. It's so, so annoying and bothersome. The space design is very good but it is NOT worth the cost or the frustration in noise. What a waste of money and a disappointment.

Great value and great support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought our fridge about a year ago. We included a service agreement with our purchase. We found that the freezer was warming, we pulled it away from the wall and vacuumed the coils and after plugging back it in again the freezer started to work. After 24 hrs it stopped. We called for service Andre was super helpful and made the steps of self check and check for codes easy - no codes - we reset refer and we were all set we thought ….. Two days later the refrigerator stopped cooling/freezing. Called service again- gave case # and all our notes were in the system and made it easy to convey to new agent we need to have repair come out. It took two days to have a repair person call and say he was in the area and could come at 4:30 ish his name was Sal and was great!!! He did his diagnostics and had to replace the compressor and updated software and it we were up and running in no time. He really new his stuff

Disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The compressor went out after three years. Thankfully we have a 15 year old refrigerator in the garage that's never had a problem. LG is sending a company out to fix it, but we've been without our LG for over a week now. Plus the freezer drawer is made cheaply and the plastic rail broke off. They sure don't make appliances like they used to. Our old fridge in the garage has been abused so badly (hit by cars, etc.) and it's still plugging away. Stop trying to make things fancy! Just make them work!

Favorite fridge of all time!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely Love this refrigerator/ freezer. It is the best refrigerator we have ever owned, both, operationally & physically. Our last refrigerator barely kept produce for a few days & this one keeps our produce Beautifully. It is so spacious & easily accessible. My mom is 78 & loves the ease of the botyom 2 drawers & the bottom freezer. It's easy to clean & is just wonderful!! We would own this model over n over again & I hope it lasts for a long time!!

For the love of LG refrigerator

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this refrigerator over a month ago and have been completely satisfied with it ever since. My old refrigerator died and I was having difficulty finding a refrigerator that fit in the limited space in my kitchen. LG is phenomenal. Not only did it fit, but it enhance the look up by kitchen. The pull out freezer drawer is beyond words. I am so much in love with this refrigerator.

A good 1970s-ish house solution

We've had the refrigerator for about a week. I suspect a lot of you were in the same boat with a 1970s-ish house that really wasn't setup for French doors. The biggest problem is that LG evidently had an intern, who only ever owned a dorm refrigerator with beer in it, do the interior design. At the bottom of the door is a ridiculously strange micro shelf. I wouldn't be surprised if people never even saw it. There are two fold down mini shelves which are . . . strange. We still haven't found a use for them. And the bottom door shelf isn't quite low enough for a gallon of milk although it will fit. If you move the bottom shelf to the lowest position, the micro shelf is all but useless. Inside the refrigerator, any adjustment to the shelves from what's shown in the LG photos is going to make the area above the bottom shelf really small. I think they told the intern to make sure the shelves were adjustable. Making the adjustments more like 1.5" apart rather than the 3" they are today would let you raise the bottom shelf or lower the top shelf just a bit if you really wanted a bit more height for something. Unfortunately, they also must have told the intern to just put the on/off switch for the icemaker wherever they wanted so it wound up being ridiculously inconvenient. But then again, dorm refrigerators don't have icemakers! Given that there aren't a lot of options for a bottom freezer, I'm sure we'll get used to the idiosyncrasies.

Roomy but not quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In this age of noisy machinery I hope in my home not to hear the that, but this bottom fridge lrdcs2603s doesn't accomplish what I had hoped. Invasive noise emitted throughout the kitchen, living room and family room. I'd rather have less features and more quiet myself.
