I purchased my Windmill A/C unit and installed as soon as it got here. It is so quiet when it’s running you hardly know it’s there. It’s small in size and for the windows perfect. It took my daughter and her fiancé less then 30 to install. I love it.

I went through a bit of a three bears process with my Windmill in order for it to work optimally, but now that it’s not in direct, glaring sunlight, it’s magic. The customer service was off the charts amazing. The unit itself is beautiful, easy to install, and so convenient to control by phone. And I prize that it’s a more environmentally-friendly design. Overall, I’m in love with my Windmill AND with the brand experience, which counts for a lot. It’s a great product and a great company.

After doing extensive research on Windmill, I am extremely happy with my purchase. All of the reviews from some of this country’s top publication rated Windmill very high. Compared to other air conditioners I have owned, Windmill is by far the best in relationship to noise level and ac output. I am very happy and fortunate I came across Windmill during my extensive research on window air conditioners.

I have just purchased my second Windmill AC. As I am 79, installing on my own was not an option. Thanks to my wonderful super, who did the installation, I had cool air in two rooms of my apartment in 15 minutes! Windmill ACs are nice looking, work extremely well, and a great value.

This past summer I had an issue with my Windmill AC, which stopped working unexpectedly . I tried every which way to troubleshoot with the help of customer service. I couldn't get it to work and it was no longer under warranty. To my surprise, the company replaced my unit at no cost! Their customer service was outstanding, and they went above and beyond to make things right. Not only is the product excellent—sleek design, easy to install, and operates smoothly—but the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction truly sets them apart. Highly recommend!

The Windmill ACs live up to their positive Wirecutter reviews.They are easy to install, look great and work quietly to quickly cool and maintain desired temp.The app is a joy to use. I installed 3 units in my home and now have 3 zones that I can easily control.

This AC unit is great. I love that you can specify the temperature and also put it on eco mode to keep a stable temperature. The app is so convenient too. Aesthetically it’s not an eye sore which is good and it was fairly easy to install. My only complaint is that it’s definitely not as quiet as the website claims it to be.

There are some incredible pros and some not so great things, which I’m hoping aren’t common and just unique to my unit and home, but I’m doubtful. I have a cat that I leave alone for about a week at a time when I travel, and I live in NYC, so it’s really nice to be able to have the security of keeping a steady temperature in the room that I can control from anywhere. However, the thermostat is incredibly unreliable and almost always reading 6 degrees cooler than it actually is in the room. I have had to get used to that math when I set the temperature. I’m not sure if this is attributed to the fact that the AC’s fans blow the air upward and to the sides, as opposed to straight forward, and my window is set in/recessed about 5 inches. If this is the case, that’s a really bad design flaw. I set two automations that fired correctly the first few times, but then I’ll check to see that the set temp is different than the automation for no reason sometimes. The unit is so beautiful, easy to install, and the app is user friendly for sure. It’s about half as loud as my last AC I purchased in 2019. I’m not sure it’s worth the price tag.

Surprisingly quiet: Once it gets going it makes about as much noise as a table fan set on low, if that. Installation is a breeze, and the pre-installed baffles to block the rest of the width of the window make that part very simple: you just pull and you’re done. The panels that overlie the baffles are very easy to place, and make the window look far nicer than other window boxes. The app is very easy to use, and we are extremely pleased with our new air conditioner.

I am absolutely in LOVE with my Windmill AC unit. It has comepletelt transformed the look of my living area and I absolutely will be purchasing a second unit. The wait cools the room is also SO much better than traditional units as it comes out the top not directly at you!
