Replaced an old window unit with a Windmill and honestly couldn't recommend it more to anyone looking for a new window AC unit. The kit that the unit comes with is amazing and really helps to keep the cold air inside, rather than escaping out plastic side panels that don't seal well. The app is great as well. My favorite feature is the kWh monitor, which shows you how much energy the unit is using (or isn't using, in the cast of eco mode) over time. I was pleasantly surprised that the cost wasn't much greater than most other brands you'd find at big box stores. Overall, would definitely purchase another one if I ever needed another unit replaced in my home.

The unit arrived quickly It is simply excellent. It cools the room very well. It’s quiet. The design is really special in that it looks and feels modern and clean, both from inside and outside. The instruction manual is really easy to follow. After carefully considering many competing manufacturers’ products, I believe that I made a good decision in purchasing this Windmill AC. The only reason that I didn’t give it 5 stars, is that I have triple track storm and screen windows and installation was difficult. At first I tried mounting it flush with the storm window on a north facing window. I then realized that, when it rains hard, the rain will penetrate the accordion style side curtains and flood my window sills. So I moved it flush with the interior double hung window. When I lower my outer-most storm window, it hits the top of the AC and leaves 8” wide openings on both sides. I cut plexiglass to fill these gaps, but, because the unit is rounded, the fit is not perfect. It remains to be seen how much rain will infiltrate my window sill.

Looks great - works great! Easy to install. Love that it blows the air up and to the sides - not straight out at you. The app is wonderful - allowing me to start the cooling before I arrive. Very happy with my purchase. I wish there was a through the wall unit like this for my NY apartment.

Best purchase ever! The look is sleek and modern. It blends in with my aesthetic and decor. Most importantly, it keeps me cool and it’s easy to work with since it’s smartphone compatible. In addition, the customer service is SUPERB! Maggie assisted me with my purchase and I have nothing but the highest praises for her! Without her help, I’d still have an old fashioned clunker. So happy with my purchase. Will be getting more in the future.

Got my Windmill AC the other day, but had to wait for my 20 and 24 year old nephews to install it. I'm disabled. They did a great job working together and got it into my window fast. Turned it on and it cooled off my hot and humid living room within a couple of minutes. It looks so nice.

This is my second Windmill AC and it is perfect. Does not look as good as the advertising if you tilt your AC which is necessary. I think you should remove the scissors (not needed) A filter did not come with my second AC but I am sure this will be taken care of by Windmill.

My studio apartment is 26 feet long by 13 feet wide with the windows at one end and the bed at the other. It had been impossible to find an a/c unit that could span the length. The Windmill does it easily . The angled air flow has the cool air hitting the ceiling and then flowing down to the other end. I can now sleep in cool air and also sit by the windows without frigid air blowing on me. The unit is very quiet. I can have a conversation even if I’m sitting right in front of it. I don’t’t have to turn up the volume on the TV to hear. It was easy and quick to install, easy and quick to clean the filter and the phone app is great. If you’re looking for a new a/c, I strongly encourage you to buy the Windmill. It’s a bit more pricey than other standard units, but it is well worth the price!

We ordered three Windmill window units for our new NYC apartment (living room, master bedroom, kid's room) and we are so happy! Our super installed them so can't speak first hand to ease of installation but it didn't take him too long to do all three. The product looks sleek and way nicer than the (traditional, old, uggo) units we had removed. We love the app functionality and the ability to share control among household members.

We bought a unit for our daughter’s new apartment. Love love the modern look! The temperature is exactly what we were expecting and installation was very easy, the panels completed the slick look. We want to buy a second unit. Don’t think about it buy one.

I didn't expect much when I sent the video of my AC unit malfunctioning, but Maggie sent my issue off for resolution. Within 24 hours I received a response and my unit was replaced and shipped to me. I did not expect that this would be resolved this quickly and efficiently. I appreciate the friendly customer service that was provided.
