My dog can jump over everything it seems, and this is the one thing she hasn't even tried to jump over. She is quite content behind it and it's quite sturdy. My only complaint is that the bottom of the door doesn't quite line up with the bottom of the gate, but I'm sure that is just user-malfunction in the set-up. (It sits on carpet.) I would highly recommend this product for those who have animals who can jump high. I've seen others mention it's difficult to open with one hand, but I would have to disagree. It's not just a simple push of a button, but it seems easy enough.

Using this to keep 3 chihuahuas enclosed in mudroom. Great that it's metal & they can't chew through! Bad that the gate didn't reach far enough to latch & we had to bend (squeeze) the gate so it would close. There was a large enough gap between the gate door for one of our dogs to squeeze through so we weaved some striping through the bars. Works great for our purpose now.

I have 4 dogs and the small dogs are the ones that use to climb over the baby gates even when I had two up! They are unable to climb this gate since the bars are only vertical! This one is less embarrassing to have up since I am selling my house and it's easy to let the dogs out. The directions to set it up were a little confusing but maybe I lack the common sense haha. Great buy!

The nails were very cheap and as soon as my husband used his drill it stripped and he ended up having to use different ones. The instructions were unclear as well I ended up having to look up the setup on YouTube. Other than that the unit is sturdy and easy to move in and out of and it comes a little above my waist. (I'm 5'5).

We have a two story home and I wanted to turn my childs crib into a big boy bed but since our bdrms are upstairs I needed something to block off the stairs that had a gate in it because I wanted something quiet that could be opened and closed while he sleeps. This gate is great. It's quiet, it's nice and tall and yet he can stil walk down the stairs with me when I want to to be able to do so.

The sales ad did not state that in order to securely stabilize this walk-thru gate that you had to screw the four plastic dowels into your wall or doorway opening. I am a dog breeder and the various gates I have purchased have been operated on gate pressure. So far, I have refused to make holes in my home and this gate slips and slides out of place very easily. While my puppy is young, this may work for a short time. My puppy will grow to be in excess of 75 pounds and is growing stronger and heavier weekly. I have to decide whether or not to make the screw holes to give the gate an unknown security level. I wish I would have known this in advance of purchasing this gate. Soon I will have to make a decision whether or not to exchange the gate for another type of gate or to screw in the dowels, which will make the gate a semi-permanent fixture. I wish I would have known this prior to purchase.

I bought this gate to keep my pet rabbit from entering my bedroom unsupervised (he likes to chew the dresser). When I installed the gate in the doorway he could squeeze through between the door frame and the gate. When I added the extension the gate was too wide for the doorway. I finally installed it an angle with on end against the door frame and one against the wall in front of the door frame. It works because the end bars are closer to the door frame, but it doesn't look so great. I can see how this gate would be perfect for a baby or a larger pet, but my medium sized bunny who is about the size of an average cat could squeeze through. The step through is perfect and makes getting in and out of the room really easy.

Got this to keep the puppy out of the back of the house. Looks good and easy to assemble. Ordered another for my bedroom last night.

This product is great!!! My dog was unable to jump or climb it. My son isn't tall enough to maneuver the handle. It took me only about 10 minutes to install. Now I can keep my toddler away from the dog when she is in a bad mood.

This has the height.. it just does NOT come with the expansion pieces that I thought box said it did. so opening it covers is little. Door is small so if you have any gut or bootie you won't get thru. I like the height but am having to return this.
