Best Price in Town

We Love the convinence of this gate. It does not require holes in the door and it looks very nice. We receive a lot of compliments on how much better this gate is compared to what we had before. Hopefully you get more in soon. My daughter and her husband and one of my neighbors would like to purchase this gate.

taller than all other gates we found

This gate is taller than any other gate we could find. I checked all kinds of websites & stores and this was the tallest we found. It was around $50 & well worth it. No other gate we tried has stopped our 2 year old climber from getting over them until this one. The only issue we have had with this one is he put his legs through the bars the first few days and he fell and tripped over the middle part that runs across the floor when it is open. So as long as you are right there when they walk through the gate Im sure that would help.

I bought this gate to mainly keep out ours cats. Well our smaller kitten can go right through the bars and jump over it. Our larger cat cannot go through it. I’m hoping by the time my kitten gets a little fatter she won’t be able to go through the bars. It works great for our dogs also. Some people mentioned the walk through is small but we haven’t had any trouble with that. We also had to screw ours to the wall. I love the height of it. The only thing we had to get used to was the bar that runs across the bottom we hit our toes on it at first. Over all I love it. We also had to zip tie cardboard from the packaging onto the gate to at least keep the kitten from going through.

It works, but...

I got this baby gate when my son was 18 months and it works well since he cannot climb over it. But by only 22 months he had figured out the latching on the door and can now open it himself! I have to use a dog collar around the gate to keep it closed. I wish the latch would of been baby proof as well. It kinda defeats the purpose if he can open it.

I love this gate so far! My four month old German shepherd can not knock this over like another gate that I have tried. Since you have to mount it to the wall. Other than that everything else with it has been great. I'm not to keen on the site to store feature, it saves money, but takes a while for your item to come in!

LOVE this gate!

I purchased this for 2 reasons: 1) to keep my 2 1/2 yr old daughter out of certain areas & 2) to keep my 10 month old pug puppy out and in certain areas. When you first get this item, you will probably think that yours is defective. It probably isn't. Apparently, they leave a large gap where the latch connects to the gate. When you pull it out of the packaging you will really notice this. They make it this way so that when you tighten the gate against the door frame, the gap shortens and everything works properly - so don't freak out until you actually try the gate! And definitely try the gate in the door frame before you install the cups just in case it doesn't work for some reason, though it probably will. We just bought a "new" house which was built in 1939 and has numerous "projects" still in process. For example, the bathroom on the main floor is connected directly to the laundry room. There is no door in between, but the laundry room itself has a door - so you can shut the door to the laundry room to have privacy. However, my dog is not allowed in the bathroom because he chews on everything, drinks out of the toilet, and licks the inside of my daughter's training potty (EW). So we put this gate between the laundry room and bathroom to separate the two. The doorway is just drywall - it doesn't have wood like the doorway in the photo. BUT the gate still works great and doesn't damage the drywall in anyway. We did install the cups for better stability - we tried without the cups, and it wobbled. We would have to tighten the gate so much that the gap would shorten too much and the gate part wouldn't work properly. With the cups installed, it's very stable and everything works great. We also are going to install the other gate in the kitchen doorway which DOES have wood around it like the one in the photo - to keep our daughter out while we're cooking and to keep the dog in when we leave. We'll probably install the cups for this gate as well. All in all, this is a very sturdy gate but I do recommend you use the cups. They provide more stability and ease the mind. My daughter and my dog run into the gates all the time and nothing happens. The gate mechanism is fairly easy to use as well. I've only had the gate up for 2 days and I can already open and close it one-handed. My dog chews on it and it hasn't scratched the paint. The gate is also much taller than I expected (I'm 5'4" and it comes up to my collar bone) which is great because the dog can jump over the standard height gates. The gate opening is kinda small, so if you're a large person or have large people in your house or large people who visit, it might be a problem depending on how often they will need to go between rooms. I am average sized and I have to walk through the gate at a slight angle to avoid hitting the opening sides with my arms/shoulders. I am extremely happy with these gates and I recommend them to everyone with kids or pets! (WARNING: make sure that you periodically check the pressure of the gate. I check mine every couple days because normal use can cause the gate to loosen slightly.)

Great for cats

I looked for a baby/pet gate that was tall enough to keep out cats. I found only one other, but it needed two extensions to make it tall enough to keep out cats. It was also, with the two extensions, over $100. This gate is tall enough to keep out my very athletic cat and it's walk-through feature is great since we don't have a wide enough hallway to allow a gate to fully swing into it. The entrance is a little small (due to the walk-thru feature). It was wide enough for me to get through (carefully) when I was over 9 months pregnant and absolutely huge. Highly recommended.

Nice gate if your skinny.

Does not work for cats they can still jump over this. You can't carry items like laundry baskets though as you have to lift them over and that didn't work for my bad shoulders. I could get though but found it a little awkward but some larger people than I had more difficulty. I ended up buying a cheep wood screen door for my hall doorway as it still allows for air flow and that has worked really great for us! I thought I'd have to put plexiglass on the bottom but my cats amazingly haven't tried to tear up the screen and I've had it up 6mo.

China

This is a nice looking gate. The opening is barely wide enough for an adult to pass through without turning. It is cheaply constructed and i regret buying it over another model I've purchased from Sam's. It would make an ok pet gate as long as you don't have a big jumpy dog. My 2 year old toddler also figured out how to unlatch and open it first 30 minutes installed. Less than 2 prolly can't get it but what's the point of it being so tall?

AWESOME!!

We use this at the bottom of our stairs to keep the cat out of the bedrooms. It works great!! It's tall enough to keep her from jumping the gate and the bars are close enough together to keep her from squeezing through. And it was a fraction of the price of similar gates!! The latch for the walk-thru feature is super easy to use! I highly recommend this product.
