We think this will keep a four-year-old autistic boy out of the small kitchen where he climbed cabinets and the refrigerator. He quickly learned to undo the refrigerator locks so this is our main hope for keeping him safely out. I used the option of blocking the rubber "feet" from slipping along the slick painted sheetrock wall. The boy is very strong, but seems to have given up on attempts to get through the gate.

I bought this taller gate to keep my cats from going to the stairway to pee. it seems to keep them out but i dont like that you can only open the gate one way. if i have an armful of stuff I have to back up when opening the gate because it doesnt swing both directions and I HATE that feature. otherwise it looks nice, easy installation& keeps things separated.

The delivery was perfect, came right on time. Product was easy to build and is sturdy even without screwing them into the walls. My only issue is there was a bar broken on one end that I had to tape back together implying that this product came preused. I should not have to pay full price for something someone else broke.

The gate serves its purpose, to stop my animals from a room. The gate has a small door that opens, so if you are carrying something wide you have to lift it up and over the gate-even though the door is open. The material is not as solid as I expected for the price.

This is a perfect gate which met our needs. Our Shiba Inu just had pups and we wanted to keep our other furry friends out of our bedroom. My husband had this put together and up in less than 30 minutes. It’s tall enough and sturdy enough to keep out our 35 pound male Shiba Inu when he was pushing on it. Our nine-year-old cat is able to jump over it which is OK with us. The description states it has an automatic closure which is not the case. It works perfectly manually and stays securely closed.

Ok so waited almost 2 weeks to get.. I got it received it and tried setting it up. I have crown molding in my doorway. So without the 6" extention which comes with it it was to small and with it did fit but I had to go above the crown molding. I wish they were a little more specific about how it fit with and without the extention. So I ended up calling and they ate shipping a 4 in extention which hopefully will work with the molding. But it's working right now my 2 year old can't get upstairs anymore and the puppy can go under the gap to get to her food. Would I recommend it yes. But I suggest getting your measurements first, calling regalo and making sure it fits before you order. Because they aren't specific about the fitting. They just say fits 29-35". Not if you have a "33in" doorway which extention would be needed to fit. But it's a good product it works. And I would recommend it. But do your research first. And was decently priced. Note: there is a gap that will close itself up when you mount the gate. So don't think it's a manufacturer defect.

This is our 4th gate that we have purchased, not due to it not holding up but because it works that great and we bought more for other rooms. Would definitely recommend. Easy to install, holds up for the long haul and super easy to operate. Great value for a great product.

I bought this to semi-block a doorway, separating a new cat in my household from the previous residents. All my cats are adult and none are tiny, so I didn't have an issue with them squeezing between the bars. A small boned cat or dog might be able to do so. The gate has worked just as I'd hoped. The cats are now used to seeing one another and when the resident was ready to be with the whole group, she jumped out over the top! I did not use the wall cups and it will push out of the door if force is applied against it. Perhaps the cup would prevent this, but it's not an issu for me since I'm not using it for children. The gate fits on one side of the door frame, so I can still shut the door. It was easy to install and arrived quickly. I'd highly recommend.

I purchased this to use for our German Shepherd. It is absolutely perfect! The gate is tall, the door in the middle of it has a slide lock to ensure it stays closed and the opening of the door is just the right width for us and our dog to easily go in and out (one at a time, of course...haha!). Very happy with this purchase, and I plan to buy at least one more of the gates in the future.

It looks good - but functionality wise, it only really swings one direction once installed. my other ones went both ways. hopefully this lasts longer than 6 months. my last regalos only lasted 6 months (the shorter white ones that open in both directions -- the springs went bad on those. The handle on this doesn't use a spring so will likely last much longer! Much happier with this than the other ones -- just wish it would swing both ways!
