The only thing I liked about this gate was that it was tall gate. But with that being said, my 3 year old did figure out how to open it properly with no issues the next day after installling it hence defying the purpose of having the gate. I have another gate over the kitchen that was installed for over a year with no issue doing great. This product in my opinion definitely needs a better locking mechanism. I had to tie the handle with a ribbon so they don't open it. Hate the hussle of returning but may need to.

Regalo 41 in tall gate

Ok so waited almost 2 weeks to get.. I got it received it and tried setting it up. I have crown molding in my doorway. So without the 6" extention which comes with it it was to small and with it did fit but I had to go above the crown molding. I wish they were a little more specific about how it fit with and without the extention. So I ended up calling and they ate shipping a 4 in extention which hopefully will work with the molding. But it's working right now my 2 year old can't get upstairs anymore and the puppy can go under the gap to get to her food. Would I recommend it yes. But I suggest getting your measurements first, calling regalo and making sure it fits before you order. Because they aren't specific about the fitting. They just say fits 29-35". Not if you have a "33in" doorway which extention would be needed to fit. But it's a good product it works. And I would recommend it. But do your research first. And was decently priced. Note: there is a gap that will close itself up when you mount the gate. So don't think it's a manufacturer defect.

I love the height of the gate, but it is a little difficult to open. I think it says you can do with one hand, but I really can't. The extender is nice, but I don't need. Maybe later. The sides are easy to adjust the size of the opening, but mine is interferred by the door handle. Bars going down are in a not so great position for the door knob. But I moved it over and it works well now. The screw on that side is far out, so not as stable as I would like, but it works for me. I love the opening, but will tell you that a larger person could not fit through the opening. And the slats are small, but my little dogs can still fit through there. But they are only 6 lbs, so very small dogs. I love the fact that I have a gate that I can open my front door and not all dogs go running out. It has helped me tremendously and this gate is very high. No climbing over this. The cat doesn't even jump over it and she jumps on top of the house!!!

Great Gate for Pets

This is our 4th gate that we have purchased, not due to it not holding up but because it works that great and we bought more for other rooms. Would definitely recommend. Easy to install, holds up for the long haul and super easy to operate. Great value for a great product.

Pets

I actually bought this for my cats to keep them from going to certain parts of my house. Well, my one cat was so small she could get through the bars and my bigger cat could get through the space between the wall/ door frame and the gate. So I bought a trifold poster board to slide through the gate to keep them from getting through. So it still serves its purpose. Bc it's so tall, neither tried to jump it, so far.

Came preused

The delivery was perfect, came right on time. Product was easy to build and is sturdy even without screwing them into the walls. My only issue is there was a bar broken on one end that I had to tape back together implying that this product came preused. I should not have to pay full price for something someone else broke.

Sturdy, easy to use

We actually got this to keep our 60lb. German Shepherd in her room while we are away. The height is perfect, as she is a "jumper." It is very sturdy, easy to install and use. We have not needed the extension provided, so we can't provide feedback with that part.

Overall a good product that works as intended

The overall construction of the gate is very good. Solid and sturdy. Assembly takes about 3 minutes. Instructions look kind of intimidating at first but once you get started they are really simple and on point. One complaint is the space adjusters. The bolts with rubber feet that thread/screw out of the gate frame to take up any extra space between the gate and the wall. They look like they thread into the gate frame, and they should, but that's not how they are designed. The hole in the gate frame for the adjusters is just that, a hole, not threaded. Instead the adjusters, which are long bolts with a rubber foot that goes against the wall, simply fit into a hole in the gate frame, then a plastic adjuster on the bolts, threads against the gate frame and pushes the adjusters out and against the wall. If the adjuster bolts have to be pushed out of the hole in the gate frame more than about an inch, they wobble and move. Not just a little bit, but a significant amount. If your opening requires the adjuster bolts to be threaded out more than that, I would suggest placing a small block of wood between the rubber feet and the wall to help decrease how far out the adjuster bolt sticks out of the gate frame. Once you do that, or if your opening is just wide enough that the adjuster bolts don't have to be threaded out very far, then the gate is nice and solid and sturdy. Super easy opening mechanism with a safety lock to hold it in place if necessary.

Would really and purchase again

This is a perfect gate which met our needs. Our Shiba Inu just had pups and we wanted to keep our other furry friends out of our bedroom. My husband had this put together and up in less than 30 minutes. It’s tall enough and sturdy enough to keep out our 35 pound male Shiba Inu when he was pushing on it. Our nine-year-old cat is able to jump over it which is OK with us. The description states it has an automatic closure which is not the case. It works perfectly manually and stays securely closed.

Regal looking

Is very nice works well and does the job. Even my houdini dog "Auggie" can't get over it. The only neutral thing to say about it is I wish it was a little bit wider. I do love it and have reccomanded it to my friends and family. Thank You, Theresa
