I laid the pieces out to see how they would fit together. I attached the screws as noted in the instructions, then placed the gate in the opening of the frame. This is when I noticed that it looked skewed. I measured the frame at the bottom and top and found a 1" difference, so this unit isn't close to being square. This seems to be a good product, solid, no sharp edges. Used 'as is' in a 32" doorframe, the four pressure pads were not secure as they should be - the four pressure pad adjusment bolts were extended too far to be stable I added 1-7/8" of wood to each side of the door frame and inset the pads ~3/8' deep with a 1-3/8" Forstner bit. This modification exposes much less of the four adjustment bolts and the unit is much more stable. Our Grandson loves it - it helps him to stand and may be an aid to him walking sooner. This product offers extensions to fix wider opening - a six inch one was in the box with ours. I would suggest making the gate/frame about 3" wider, or put a 3-3-1/2" extension in the box since I believe most doorways are 32". Enjoyed adapting this gate to our door (It gave me an excuse to purchase a set of Forstner bits).

I purchased this to use for our German Shepherd. It is absolutely perfect! The gate is tall, the door in the middle of it has a slide lock to ensure it stays closed and the opening of the door is just the right width for us and our dog to easily go in and out (one at a time, of course...haha!). Very happy with this purchase, and I plan to buy at least one more of the gates in the future.

There's nothing wrong with the gate. It works properly. I have 2 now. Just be sure you measure accurately for where you are placing it. I forgot to measure the distance between the baseboard and it's too short by 1/2" with the extension provided but all the way to the ends at the top without the extension so it doesn't hold well. I had to raise it above the baseboard which means I have to step over it all the time. It's not good to have to step over a 4" high bar when you have elderly people in your home. It's not the gates fault.

Not too hard to install and easy to use, but Im not a huge fan of the latching feature. Which you must lock at the top and bottom manually. The biggest downside is that some of it screws in the wall, but it's still held up by pressure. My dogs 70ish lbs and they got excited and bumped it (not even trying to get out) and knocked the whole thing over. Would be scared to have a toddler put all their weight on it!!

Regalo is the best baby gate brand in my opinion. Won't buy any others from here on out. Had an E v n f l o and S u m m e r both break. This was after 3 years but the Regalo is still holding strong so we bought all new Regalo's to replace the others.

These were great gates for a pup. The only thing is that you need to use the screw in cups to keep it from moving around in the door frame. I love the height but forgot that the cat may want to pass through when it is shut, the shorter ones he can jump but the tall one I put a stool on either side so he can jump it. It is so nice to be able to open the gate and go through. Especially with my elderly mother. ( you must stress that you must step over a lower support). I know the dog is secure and will not be able to jump this easily. If you tighten it in too much it is hard to get the gate open, that is why the screw in cups help.

We realized, after assembling, the opening to step through was too narrow to accommodate a person carrying groceries or anything else. Also, it didnt seem especially easy to unlock to step through without freeing up a hand, unlike foot activated locks (although we didnt really try to unlock it once we realized how narrow the opening was!).

I LOVE this thing. I dont use it for a baby though I have 3 dogs who I use it for. One is a shih Tzu and the other two are husky's. Theyre puppies so they cant get through it or over it. I will update when they are full grown but for now ABSOLUTELY YES !

These gates could be more sturdy. My son has easily pushed them down cause they are not as sturdy as they should be for a baby gate. They serve the purpose i have for them now but it wont be long till my son realizes how to open them or just flat out pushes them down.
