[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love our new Pergola. Construction and build was straight forward. I over torqued one bolt and cracked a support arm. They quickly sent out a replacement. HIGHLY recommend also treating with a water sealer before you build.

I have always wanted a pergola, so I am very happy with this one. I love that it comes with a power outlet which makes it a breeze adding string lights to it. You can sit and enjoy nature; or bring alexa out, plug it in to the outlet, enjoy enjoy some music with a glass of wine. It ceates a wonderful place to relax.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought my Somerville pergola last June. Delivered on time with no damage. Everything was clearly marked. Only issue we had was with the screws and threading some had to be re-threaded. Put together pretty easily 3ppl about 3hrs. Customer Service was outstanding when I noticed the power port was missing they had it sent immediately. Definitely would recommend especially considering the price and quality.

From the great instructions to the final result, this pergola is exactly the thing I was hoping for. It has added a whole new dimension to my yard and expanded the living space. We have delighted in sitting under it in the morning with coffee and the evening with homemade wine. Thank you for a beautiful structure! (My husband is talking about adding one to our vacation home as well.)

This thing was a beast to take home from the store, and it definitely takes 4 or more people to put it together. I recommend reading through the manual a few times before trying to put it together, and recommend being very organized! Other than the difficult traveling and install…. This thing is solid! Very beautiful. Great addition! It is real wood so there are a few chips/defects, but I think it adds to the backyard charm. My husband thinks we will leave it behind if we move but NOPE! I’m taking this with us! Love the look. We added lights to it and throw a shade cloth on top if needed to battle away the sun if needed.

We purchased this pergola a year ago when we were in the middle of our backyard renovation. I'd dreamt of having this pergola in my yard for about ten years, and it's everything I'd hoped for! You definitely need multiple people to put it together, and I highly recommend getting footers poured so you can secure it. My husband had four friends come over for a "barn raising" of sorts, and that was super helpful. It's stood up to all kinds of weather, including some seriously high wind gusts. It's just gorgeous! We added market lights (that power box is super handy) and put down pavers below for a real oasis.

We wanted something to help with the heat on our little patio. Saw this on line and liked the barnwood color and was the right size for our slab.I and my two grandsons put it together and finished it in about 4 hours. The instructions were right on and everything fit just right. My wife wanted a little more shade so you will notice that I put some grey vinyl lattice on top and it came out beautiful.We are very pleased with our Pergola.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this for our new patio and I'm so happy! What a great addition to my "happy place". I gave it a four because the wood is peeling/splitting in a few places. Still a great value for the price!

We are happy with the pergola. It takes 3 people to put some of it together and it's not an easy task! Strong structure and we added adjustable sun shade and curtains. The coating/stain, however, is an attractant for wasps. They started peeling strips away. And, of course, it attracts wood bees. Other than that we are pleased with the outcome!

I would say this was a near perfect pergola! There were a few issues though so I can't give it five stars as much as I want to. It took me and my 21 year old son about a total of 5 hours to put this together. One thing I would change in the instructions is to build the sides so all four posts are attached, then put it in it's final resting place *before* putting on all the cross beams. This is not exactly light at this point and can only imagine how heavy it would have been had we built it all the way then moved it. Some of the 2x6 cross beams had a slight twist them which caused the 2x2 beams to miss their pre-drilled holes. Fortunately the 2x6's didn't crack while attaching the 2x2's. Speaking of the 2x2's, this is one of the reasons it did not get five stars. A number of them were warped. Because we bossed them around, we were able to get them on mostly straight though. Then the hardware. For the most part, the hardware was great! The cement screws were a joke. I pre-drilled into my cement (have to use a hammer drill) and the bit I used was 5/32" but I still couldn't get them to go in. I guess I should have used a bigger bit? I am glad that each pack of hardware came with two extras since as you can see from the attached picture, one screw had no threads, one bolt had no threads as well was bent, and another bolt was bent beyond usage. Overall, I'd recommend this. It does definitely take two people to build and did go together as long as you follow the instructions and do not tighten any of the bolts until you've got it in place.
