I read the bad reviews that suggested the “off” taste was the result of too much cilantro. Well sign me up for that because I looooove cilantro. Nope! It’s not cilantro tainting the flavor of what otherwise could be a decent salsa. I struggled to determine the culprit, but I wasn’t willing to eat enough spoonfuls to pinpoint the offender.

As I was reading through some of the reviews, I wondered if some people know what bland means. There’s nothing tasteless about this fresh salsa. Tomatoes, onions, cilantro and garlic. How can this be tasteless? I like my pico with a LOT of cilantro, probably more than what would sell, but since I grow it year round in my Aerogarden, I add more to it. I enjoy this fresh salsa. It’s an excellent substitution for homemade until tomato season arrives. Since it’s fresh, it does have a best by date and should be used within 7 days of opening. After I open mine, I leave some in the container and put the rest in a couple of pint size Mason jars, vacuum seal and store in the fridge. In addition to using it on Mexican cuisine, I like to use it on grilled or fried fish and chicken. It goes surprisingly well with grits too, and in some cases, like with collards, it’s a suitable stand in for chow chow. This is one of my favorite Member’s Mark products,

Not generally a salsa fan, but this is a new staple in the house as a short cut when I want something fresh. Usually put it on home style fries, baked potatoes, or if I have them around, tortilla chips. This is not spicy at all, just an easy, fresh tasting addition to quick meals.

There’s a lot of “bland” reviews about this salsa but this can only be considered bland if you are hooked on a tub of salt in a processed salsa jar. This salsa is labeled as mild, not medium. Don’t expect a bite - there won’t be one and it doesn’t claim to have it. Add some fresh chopped chili’s or jalapeños and you’re good to go for a bite of spice. The flavor is so fresh and delicious. It does not have the processed flavor to it at all. Absolutely perfect for a hot summer day!! Will buy it until the day they stop selling it!

My husband loves this Pico De Gallo, we always have it on hand. I just tried this and have to share. If you "love ceviche", buy a bag of the real small shrimp (I use those because you get a lot more shrimp in a every bite), add them to some Pico De Gallo and you have ceviche! However when I make it since we love cilantro, I get that and add a lot more to it, with a little red onion and a little jalapeno! it is so good! I would have posted a picture before this post but it is all gone 😊

I'll start by saying I LOVE this salsa, but now that I have a membership to purchase, the first experience was not great. The deal of the jar was not properly done and therefore the salsa had a terrible smell and was about to explode. Thankfully we heard the high pitch noise before that happened but it does make me apprehensive to trust to purchase again.

OK- I am a salsa connoisseur! LOL I eat this stuff as a meal with a spoon. It is tasty BUT I have to agree with the other reviews that say it's not as good as the previous brand- Italian Rose with Cilantro. I can still get Italian Rose w/ Cilantro and some Walmarts and I buy it when I can. This Members Mark brand does taste different and the texture is DEFINITELY different (hard pieces throughout). I would prefer Italian Rose.

I have to start by saying I love cilantro. The way this was advertised, I was thinking that it would be outstanding. However, it lacked flavor badly. I didn't taste anything except tomatoes. Even the onions incorporated in it were flavorless. I was disappointed in this.

I love homemade Salsa and look forward to the tomato season. However, when I don't have to cook, my meal is "chips and salsa" and I don't mind paying extra for something that tastes really close to being homemade. I have compared the two and the one with cilantro is hands down the best!!!!! Love it...

This is more of a restaurant "fresh" salsa. It's more like a pico de gallo. It's very chunky and you can see the fresh ingredients, but it's a little more watery than I prefer. I drain out some of the liquid before eating it.. On the up side it's mild, so would be perfect for kids or anyone that doesn't like spicy.
