Made extremely of cheep plastic. It does work very well, but I'm expecting it to break. I have to be very careful with it because of cheep plastic parts. This is an awesome design, if only it was built to last. (I would pay 3 times more for better material) It will break and I will buy anther one. So be prepared to buy several in a life time.

My hubby loves to go apple picking and make applesauce (while I make apple pie). And I love mashed potatoes & gravy with beef, chicken, or turkey to warm me up in the cold weather months. This peeler is a game changer! Yes, I still have to peel the top and bottom of the (fruit, vegetable...whatever) but I can peel so much in such a short amount of time! I have and I always will recommend this peeler to everyone!

I bought this for peeling mainly potatoes. I have had it for over a year. I have peeled many pounds of potatoes and it does a great job. The first cutter blade lasted me this whole time. It has just now got dull and I had to put in the second blade in it. It is a time and life saver. I love it.

This product should save time but that's only if it works. Did not peel the first potato for me after waiting 3 weeks to be delivered to the store from an online purchase. Extremely disappointed so I returned it immediately. Of course no one reimburses you for running back & forth to the store. Ughhh.

I bought the manual one about 23 years ago and loved it. However after a couple of years the blade started coming loose while peeling, bought new blades and holder. Same thing after a few months. A few years later I saw the electric one and bought it. Again I was very pleased but after A year or so the same thing. I really like this product but I think it needs a better way to secure the blade unit to the arm.

I have had this product for about two years and it has withstood holiday gatherings and a yearly usage. Even if it were to break now I would run out and buy another one. I have saved a lot of hand peeling time over the sink with a knife peeling potatoes apples zucchinis anything that you would need to peel. I would 100% recommend it to anybody. I don't know how I lived so many years without it.

I had seen it in action in a kitchen that puts out 200 meals a day. It peeled 20 pounds of potatoes without a problem and much quicker than peeling by hand. Yes, it does leave some on the bottom and top of the potato but it's a quick trim and your cooking. Had to have it and it has not diaappointed.

I purchased 4 of the Starfrit Rotato Expresses on Black Friday as gifts and one for me. It seemed to be a good deal. I've used mine several times. Last night while I was demonstrating it to some friends the entire Blade Holder-Lock in Attachment fill apart. It is broken. It appears to be the weakest link in the system. The Lock in Attachment should be made more durable or out of another material. It is not strong enough and will continue to break sooner than later as time goes by. I will call customer service tomorrow to try and resolve the issue.

I don't know if the apples I am using are too big, but they seem to easily fit. First time, it peeled (easily, and in one long, continuous piece) ... but it didn't do the top or bottom 20% of the apple. Second time, it only peeled about 20-25% of the apple -- despite repeated attempts. It's going back.

I just bought this and have only used it a couple of times and I love it. It comes with two extra blades but can't find replacement blades on this website. When all three of the provided blades wear out I guess you are supposed to throw the Rotato Express away and buy a new one. BUMMER!!!
