We all know how difficult it is to select a watermelon. Looks beautiful on the outside, meets all the crucial tips that your grandparents told ya about, you get it home, cut into it just to find out that you’ve selected a dud. This watermelon wasn’t ripe at all, it was mostly colorless inside. White - like rind pretty much throughout. Did taste it, crunchy but obviously there was no juicy watermelon flavor. Had to toss it to the woods. Perhaps, I select a better one next time or take granny with me!! LOL!

We love our watermelon, especially for the summer hot days and for the Fourth of July celebratory shenanigans. These are always good easy to pick out through the knock test and the web test and we have had no complaints. We love the watermelon from Sams.

Not having good luck with watermelons from Sam's this year. The last one we got was the worst. My kids love watermelon and barely touched this last one. For reference, the one from price chopper was cut into with breakfast and gone at dinner. The one from Sam's was tossed after 4 days cut up and no kids eating more than a bite.

I bought watermelon today, cut it open and it wasnt red color , it was clear white and pinkish color. So knowing it wasnt ready to pick and ripen Sams decided to sell to customers. Not very happy , i wasnt able to save all of it and took a picture after cutting it up. I will go back to sams and show them the quality product. Hopefully i will get a refund back

I am so disappointed in the watermelon I got. It had a good yellow spot on it, which I thought was supposed to indicate something good. Part of the watermelon was mealy. The entire watermelon had no taste. It was no sweet at all. After I cut it open and saw the mealy parts, I taste tested different parts of the melon. I threw the entire thing away.

Bought a watermelon but while picking it up, my hand went into a rotten watermelon (there were several rottwn ones). Thats not the part that frustrated me, the Sams employee is what frustrated me. I asked her if she a had paper towels and her response was "well, no, but...." and then she proceedes to start checking costumers through the line. She could have called someone through that amazing ear piece, but isntead she just chose to ignore. I walked across Sams to the bathroom but by then the nasty watermelon had gotten on my clothes and down my arm.

My husband decided we needed another watermelon and we still had some from the last one I bought but it was fine that he bought one. What is not fine as he does not know how to pick out a watermelon! He did not pick one that had a yellow side that had been ripened in the field, he picked one that was green all over so it wasn’t as sweet and good as a lot of them have been.

Always a better price than other stores. Great selection of Watermelon. Finding the best in the bin is a science. Lots to choose from for inspection. There is a science to it. Some variations are Stripe width, Male/Female, yellow spot diameter and also "Thumping" (: If you research these things you will always walk away with the best!

We've had some very good watermelons in the past. But this year we got one even the dog and chickens wouldn't eat. It was so dry, it had a huge crack down the middle when we cut it open. We just don't take the risk anymore and purchase watermelons elsewhere. On a positive note, they did give us our money back for it. Gotta Love SAMs even if we don't always love their watermelon.

absolutely horrible! not ripe at all! i order delivery because i am disabled, not able to walk and i assumed the batch would have been checked. to get a refund they said i had to return it. lol its cut open and i cant walk or drive. nice one sams club
