Don't buy in winter! To many that's intuitive but I assumed since they are available, they must be good. Our watermelon looked fine on the outside but was rancid inside. Cutting into it was the nastiest food experience Ive had. Horrid smelling, rotten watermelon juices spilled everywhere with the first cut and the smell and sight once opened made me gag. Don't be tricked! Wait until summer, then Sam's does great with their watermelon.

2026 is a bad year for Watermelon from Sam's

This is not a good watermelon year for Sam's. Truly Disappointing. This is probably my 4th watermelon this year and we are at the end of June. The watermelon should be sweet by now. I am going to have to try a different store and hope they aren't buying from the same farms as Sam's Club/Walmart.

Terrible melons and produce.

Worst watermelon I have ever purchased. These are sub standard second or third grade melons. Interior pulp was mushy and had a terrible taste. Wife had to throw it out. Recommendation go to a regular produce store to buy your melons and vegetables. Sam’s Club is greatly lacking.

Excellent Fruit!

Oh my goodness. This watermelon is SO DELICIOUS. it’s like candy. First of all it was HUGE. BUT I knew it was a good one because it was yellowed on the side with the patch on the ground AND you could tell the vine had fallen off. It wasn’t torn off, so that’s how you know it’s ripe! I purchased this as a curbside pick-up so one of the employees picked a great one. I also got strawberries, pineapple, blueberries and cantaloupe and red grapes. ALL of them are RIPE AND JUICY AND OH, SO GOOD. Sam’s Club buyers made a great choice with this produce vendor. I couldn’t be more pleased. Thanks, employees of Sam’s Club too for all your hard work in making sure your customers are always happy.

Poisoning America

Watermelon tasted like chemicals! Actually burned my mouth. My dog loves watermelon and she wouldn’t even eat it. Also, I have several honeybee hives and usually, the bees would be all over it. I left the watermelon near the hives and not one single bee has been on it. Not even an ant, fly or any other kind of insect either. What kind of fruit are you selling???
