Enhanced flavor

Excellent, smooth taste. Added a flake of shaved salt to a tasting and the “sea” flavored was enhanced. Ocean has become my favorite when I want a nice sipping bourbon.

Never the same

My favorite Jefferson Bourbon, straight up or over a cube of ice you can't beat it. Something about traveling the high seas that gives it a smooth finish and unique taste. Every voyage is different making it something to look forward to.

Ocean Single Barrel

I bought a single barrel at the tasting, voyage 32, barrel 88, bottle 158. I absolutely love it. I have had other Ocean voyage bottles prior, but this is special. While I like Bourbon Old Fashions, I will drink Ocean neat. No reason to dilute the taste with the Old Fashion ingredients.

A friend told me about this, and I have to say this is definitely my favorite bourbon at this price point.

Cool concept

Was given a bottle of voyage 32 and really enjoyed it. The difference in the body and taste was noticeable and especially noticeable when on the rocks.

Bourbon with a Backstory – Smooth Sailing in Every

Jefferson’s Ocean isn’t just bourbon—it’s an experience. This stuff is ridiculously smooth, with a richness and depth that makes you pause mid-sip just to appreciate it. Caramel, a bit of sea salt, vanilla, and a mellow oak finish that feels like it’s been aged with intention (because… it has). What really sets it apart? The voyage. Each batch sails the open seas, crossing the equator multiple times, and the aging barrels literally ride ocean waves—creating a unique profile you can taste. The salt air and constant motion do something magical, and the included ship log? It’s the cherry on top. Knowing exactly where your bourbon traveled gives it this adventurous edge that makes sipping feel like storytelling. Pros: • Exceptionally smooth, easy-drinking bourbon • Unique sea-aged flavor you won’t find elsewhere • The ship log adds an irresistible layer of cool • Great for collectors and gifting Cons: • Higher price point (but you’re paying for the journey, too) • Can make your regular bourbon feel a little… boring Final Verdict: Jefferson’s Ocean is where craftsmanship meets wanderlust. If you want a bourbon that tastes amazing and has the best origin story on your shelf, this is it. Pour a glass, read the log, and sail into the night.

Dead at sea

Bought it about 3 months..I enjoy a SMOOTH flavorful bourbon neet. This wasn’t it, smooth it wasn’t. Tried it will the chilled bullets & still wasn’t getting it, added a couple of drip of water to see what would be brought out, well I wasn’t impressed. However it’s a great coke/ginger ale/Pepsi mixer! Again I think the hype of the ocean aging process is why it cost considerably more than it should. I didn’t taste anything special.
