I bought this anticipated loosing power during hurricane Ida. There were many generators to select but I liked the compact size , quite and run time on a tank of fuel. Electric start, even remote start. Plenty output for my needs. Totally satisfied.

bought the iGen 4500 to power our Cougar 22 MLS. Runs the 15,000 BTU air unit and everything else. Before i made the purchase i had seen the You Tube videos showing the problems with this unit. We did not experience any issues! Took 25 minutes to set the unit up with oil , gas and battery. Started up on first try. looking forward to using it to visit all the national parks. Well worth the money!

I bought this product a month ago and went to use it when hurricane MILTON hit Florida it would only produce half power fortunately i had my 22 year old one that I was replacing to get me through 4 days of no power ... Needless to say very DISAPPOINTED Would Not Buy Again

Just received this unit, filled with oil, fuel and hooked up the battery. It started and would not hardly idle at all. Called customer support and told them what the issue was and they told me right off. These have a choke on the carburetor that is not mentioned and you have to pull the side cover to access it. She was a big help. Whoever the engineer was that came up with that on should get a 1 star rating. Other than that I’m perfectly happy with the unit. According to tech support they are aware of the issue and are currently working on a fix..

We bought this after looking at reports and reviews on a site. Bought this one mainly because it had the highest power rating and the lowest noise rating (52dba). While it is pretty quite, 52 dba is not as quite as I thought, but still, we could not hear it running from inside the house or on the other side of the house. We only plan to run this in a power outage, so I doubt anyone would complain during that time. I tested a bunch of stuff running at the same time: Refrigerator, sander, shop vac, and some lights. No problems with this load. The eco mode is nice. makes it run a little more quietly. We intend to use this to charge a couple of big batteries during a power outage. Those will be swapped back and forth for inside use. That way, we only need to run the generator long enough to charge a battery.

My brother-in-law bought one last year and I was impressed with it, then my neighbor bought one a few months ago. We all went primitive camping, and I had the oldest and loudest generator there. Seeing how this generator operates and many of the functions I decided to get one. Not disappointment at all, like how quite it is and does what I need for camping. Few features I didn't think I needed but really like, the remote start! That is nice for the mornings and don’t have to walk out of the camper to start it.

I was a bit concerned upon reading some of the reviews however once receiving my generator-it started right up and I am extremely happy with the overall product. Nice and quiet for camping as stated. Runs my 15,000 btu a/c in my rv at 25% in eco mode. Was a bit difficult and messy to get the correct amount of oil into the engine. That is the reason I am giving it 4 stars.

I’ve only had it for few days but this thing is state of the art! The Digital Data Center is awesome, all useful information which I haven’t had on any of my other previous generators. It’s super quiet. I haven’t had the opportunity to put it through the ringer yet since I’m working the break in period but I don’t anticipate having any issues. It wheels around like a luggage bag with the extension handle which is super cool. It’s heavy but manageable for one strong adult to lift into a pick up. So far so good! Will be used with 34’ travel trailer when boondock camping.

I just picked up my generator today. We hooked up the battery and put the oil and gas in, and it cranked on the very first try. Also cranked easily with the remote. We stood within a foot of it, without a load, and had a conversation in a normal voice. I put a small load on it, and it barely increased the volume. Follow the instruction of not overfilling the oil. We thought we had a leak, but putting the whole bottle of oil (included) actually filled it enough to leak out on the ground a little. After the initial droplets, it stopped completely. I am looking forward to better weather so we can go camping and actually use it, but at this time, it's truly money well spent!

I bought this last november because we seem to loose our power every time a storm comes through. My wife raises chickens. A big part of that is running incubaters to hatch chicken eggs. The eggs must be kept at precise temperatures and humidity for a successfull hatch. When the powe goes out, the baby chickens are lost. Since we have gotten the generator, we have not lost a single chicken because of power falure. Considering buying another one.
