Super quiet generator. It runs all night next to my RV & I can’t hear it while inside the RV sleeping.

Started up instantly on first try.  Runs my RV 13.5 BTU AC, micorowave and lights simultaneously with no problem.  No issues at all as of first use.

Very quite!

Unit was shipped with a poor quality spark plug that never worked. Replaced it with the recommended plug from the manual and it works fine.

We just bought this generator to use with our RV - it is durable and will be easy to use when we are out in the great outdoors.

Good Durability

Lots of power and very Quiet. I would definitely recommend. Really can't say anything bad about it. It does exactly what I bought it for.

Awesome Unit

Purchased for our Camping experience.  Easy to setup.  Love the handle and wheels to make this unit easy to move.

i have only used the generator twice. It overloads when my 20 amp ac kicks on, with nothing else running. I have to reset it about every hour.

All the features I was looking for at a price point I was expecting to pay much more for.  Reliable, good build quality, and overall value.

Just what I was looking for!

Very nice unit.  Fairly easy setup.  Everything needed included and nicely packaged.  Looking forward to our next power outage

So far so good

The unit failed at 4 hours of run-time, it went into overload mode and shut down completely, with no status screen function. The specs looked great, and initial use seemed to work well, but upon actual use, it was a big disappointment. The customer service was very helpful, and it was quite a pain to drain all the fluids so I could return it to the store.

4 Hours as generator, then it became a brick

I purchased the iGen 4500 for camping and the ocassional home power outage. I'm impressed with how quiet it runs compared to my old generator and the retractable handle, which helps to move it around.

Depending on where you live or camp, you'll need to contact Westinghouse to purchase the high altitude kit. If you live or camp at an elevation of 2000 ft and lower, you don't need to swap out the jet. But at any elevation higher than 2000 ft, you will need the high altitude kit for proper fuel-air mixture. 

Westing house responded to my email in just hours, and I was able to order and receive the kit within a few days. Westinghouse has a simple tutorial video on their sight with step-by-step instructions on how to swap out the carburetor jet that corresponds to your altitude. My auto mechanic told me he swaps them out frequently for many different brands, but it's not difficult to do it yourself to save money. He was right, I watched the video and swapped it out myself. 

A quick note if you swap jet out yourself, I placed the hardware in plastic sandwich bags then labeld each step. It made it easier when reassembling.

I've been pleased with my purchase. It's a nice little generator.
