I have a Honda EU 3000 and a predator 3500 now this one and there’s many features I like about this but there are some improvements needed. 1 this when under a load runs around 76db’s and the predator ran at 72db, Honda being the loudest at 79db. I’d love this unit to be quieter. 2.) Oil capacity needs to be 1 qt to make things easy as well as a filter or a magnetic dip stick. Both would be great. 3.) Plastics. I have no idea who is in charge of plastic but these are aweful. They scratch and mar extremely fast and they have stress marks in certain parts. 4.) Gas cap should be made so that it clicks when tightening. 5.) bigger wheels and remove the telescoping pole for better outdoor and camping use. Sand and grit will get in the mechanism and render it almost useless.

This generator is Great it has plenty of power and it’s super quiet it has a nice big fuel tank, It ships nicely and bonus it comes with oil, a funnel and a little tool kit and even a charger for your on board battery overall a very very great value.

Love this unit, by far the best generator I’ve ever owned.Had an issue with the choke but the service department had me fixed up in no time. Love the remote start. This is by far the best all around inverter generator on the market highly recommended.

We purchased this generator for our travel trailer. It has amazing power to get us thru dry camping. The generator is super quiet compared to others Ive heard. We had other campers stop by and inquire what we have cause it’s so quiet…. The remote start option is great when sitting inside and pressing a button to start…. This is a WELL built product, instructions are clear.. We look forward to using this on out future trips..

The unit started upon receipt and adding the provided oil. We went dry camping and the genset worked initially. I started having issues later that day. Would crank and not start. Then after a bit, would start. The next morning, no joy.Would not start at all, just crank. I looked up i4500 issues and found there is a Westinghouse service bulletin. I followed the instructions, but found that I needed to remove the side cover to get to the connector area. Bottom connector was almost out. Reseated connector and wrapped with electrical tape to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Put the covers back on and it works perfectly now. Here’s to hoping that was the only issue. MY SUGGESTION: Perform the below check of the connectors as soon as you receive the unit. It might save you some campground headaches.

This inverter generator was purchased for use with our travel trailer but it will be great portable power for our farm as well. We love how quiet it is and all the extra features that we did not find on other comparably priced units. For example, all the outlets are covered, it is RV ready with no extra adapter needed, and with the extendable handle and wheels is very easy to move around. Little design things like a screw on funnel and easy access panels make it a user friendly unit. Overall a great unit for our needs at a very reasonable price!

Very well designed - Compact, Bullet proof case. Excellent connection features. Fast effortless start. Quiet. I keep mine on the back deck. Only complaint is that the bracket for the telescoping handle (for easy wheeling) gets in the way of trying to drag it up stairs single handedly. My IGen wintered on the back deck under a waterproof cover in Minnesota and didn't complain.

Generator arrived in great shape. No problem with set up. Battery was charged. The generator was tested at the factory so there is residual oil in the unit. The supplied oil will over fill the unit. Quick set up should point that out better. I wish a free bonus generator cover offer that comes in the manual packet would have been mentioned before I ordered one. Runs very quiet. I like the features but the manual totally contradicts the remote start purpose. Manual says to not have anything plugged in or powered prior to start and unplug before shut down. Seems like an issue for RV operation. I asked customer service and was told its a backup to the electric start button on the unit. Back up to me is the pull start. Also the master switch has to be on for the remote start to work. Not sure how long the battery will last with the switch on. To be fair I have read that other competitors say the same thing. I will have to talk to my RV tech and get their input. Why have remote start if I have to walk outside to the generator anyway. I will post again after more experience with the unit. Customer service has been easy to reach and friendly. All in all I still feel like it was a great choice.

I love this generator but every time my AC starts it lugs down and my direcTV resets whether eco mode is on or off. With AC running and fan on it shows 25% whether in eco0 mode or eco mode off. What do I need to do to get it to idle up to full speed?

I just purchased this IGEN4500 and wanted something that would handle our new trailer while also being portable, light and had all the extra luxurious items I wanted. This had it all, remote start and stop, super quiet, powerful and plenty of outlets while also having a great fuel capacity. Started right up on the first start and so far no issues. Taking it on our first trip this weekend and looking forward to our dry camping.
