We bought it to use for an event we were having outside the building. We were so impressed as how quiet this generator was and how easy was to start it. We also received a lot of compliment because the speakers were able to talk without a microphone.

I now own two Westinghouse Inverter Generators. I bought the iGen2200 a few months ago and liked it so much I bought the iGen4500 to use at home and with my RV. It is the largest inverter generator I could find and the price was good. The generator is very quiet, extremely easy & convenient to start with the pushbutton or the remote fob, but, there are some things I don't like. The first is that the 30A receptacle is upside down. I had read about it in other reviews, but, didn't grasp the significance. I cannot completely plug in my RV plug because the plastic cover interferes with the plug. It also falls out easily since the weight of the wire is above the plug. The other thing that I don't like is more than just an annoyance. I bought the 4500 (3700 running) watt generator to be able to power the air conditioner in my RV when not connected to shore power. My RV has a 30 Amp connection. When plugged into shore power my AC, refrigerator, coffee pot, ice maker and lights (all LED) are all powered with no issues. When I try to run my AC only with my generator, it frequently trips into overload status. This generator should have no issues running my AC (3,700 Watts/110V = 33.6A). So, it is either defective or the rating is accurate. Maybe it needs a break-in period...? I've only used it on one camping trip so far. (Side note - I had ordered it for a cross-country trip. The original shipping date was well before my departure date, but, repeated delays in shipping dates caused it to arrive at my house the day before I returned from my trip). I could parallel both of my generators, but, the reason I got the 4500 was so that I didn't have to carry two generators, especially when one is as large and heavy as the iGen4500. I would give this a "qualified" recommendation depending on requirements.

After doing extensive research on generators this one was THE best product for THE best price. We have used it several times boondocking and it has taken boondocking to a whole other level. It does last 18hrs. It is also quiet. Let me stress READ the instructions that came with it. Also read the negative comments because those will help you as well. I highly recommend this generator. Noise low, power high! Price on POINT!

Bought the iGen 4500 to use with our RV perfect size to run everything I need on the Rv while traveling and boondocking. Arrived by ups in good condition and was easy to add the oil, connecting the battery wiring was easy just plug wires together. After adding oil and before adding fuel used the cord to rotate the engine over several times to ensure engine had good lubrication throughout before starting. Added gasoline and started using electric start button, started right up. Ran for a few minutes shut off and started with FOB and again started right up. Plugged into RV and turned on microwave and had 25% power loading turned on air conditioner and no issues all works as expected. The FOB remote start is great, my wife can start and stop as she needs from inside RV. Quiet enough. No issues to complain about here so far great addition to our RVing.

Easy start, very quiet. Like that it has a remote. Product arrived on time and undamaged. When you connect battery was hard to get hand in, would be nice to have a little longer wires. Funnel makes it easy to add oil but it’s hard to see when it is full. It was hard to put oil cap back on wanted to cross thread.

I have just bought it and only run it a few hours with small loads. I am dissapointed that if you want to use the remote feature , you must turn on a lighted switch and when you turn it off with the remote, the light on the red light on the switch stays on, in my case all night and all day next day, I had to recharge the battery. It kind of defeats the purpose of a remote if you physically have to leave your RV to turn off the switch.

I bought the Westinghouse iGen 4500 inverter generator so I could have power for the travel trailer I live in as my temporary home until I build a pole barn with a loft apartment as my permanent home. I am using this inverter generator because I have not yet received a permit to have a power pole installed. My iGen 4500 inverter generator has been great for almost 24/7 for the past 3 weeks.

The iGen4500 was delivered on June 9th and was only used a couple of times and has already stopped working. The unit cranks but does not start. I've read a few reviews about a bad choke system but the choke does seem to be working. I am also disappointed that the unit was manufactured in early 2019.

This unit arrived last week. The instructions were helpful, but the online reviews that I read before ordering were even better. Like, do NOT put the entire bottle of oil in the unit as it will have a bit in it already. Started right up and ran good. The hardest part of everything was finding the serial number because the decal was low enough that it couldn't be seen until picking up the unit. Very quite, smooth running and I hope I don't need it for hurricane season, but if I do, I believe I can count on it to be a great help.

We researched other brands and after reading reviews decided on Westinghouse IGen4500. It is quiet and ran everything in our camper. I followed the directions for start up and it worked just as stated. It is also nice to have the remote and it worked great! We are very happy with this purchase!
