I set up engine and started motor. Motor did not come up to speed. Smoked a lot. I have seen many reviews about issues with the choke, so I pulled the side panel off and checked operation of the choke. It was stuck closed.. I manually opened it and the generator ran just like it should. i ran it for about 4 hours with about 1500 watt load and all went well. I downloaded the Service Bulletin on the choke cable issue. I followed the instructions, pulled the front panel and reconnected the dangling connector. Put everything back together and watched the choke operate as the motor was starting and all was good. I am going to use this for power outages and I have every belief that it will perform as advertised when the time comes.

After years of owning a smaller inv/gen, we decided to upgrade. Based on several weeks of comparison shopping, we decided on the Westinghouse iGen 4500, and am very pleased. With more power and quieter operation than many others, this is the machine for me. The only downfall are the relatively small wheels (The ruts and roots in the northwoods are sometimes more than the wheels can handle).

Very good for my 20’ rv . When I filled the oil using the .63 qt. Witch was supplied by mfg it was to much oil,anyway I really like all the features, I guess they left a lot of the start up oil in it but I just drain, some out, it might be recommended to have some anchor eyes to keep it from being stollen.to chainit down.I am completely satisfied. Had to hook up battery, did not find any instructions, it was not hard to do. Put gas and oil it started right up an is running good. Real quite, I love it so far. Also like the key fob, I will able to start it on my camper going down the road so the trailer will be cool when we stop.

With Hurricane Dorian coming, I am so glad I bought this generator. Quiet, reliable. Even though heavy, easy to move with the wheels and handle. Good for electronics. Use for refrigerator, freezer, lights, fans, LCD TV, DVR, computer, and (maybe someday) AC window unit. This generator is exactly what I was looking for.

Just received the generator a few days ago. Have started the break in period (1hr.) and all seems to be good so far. I'm very pleased with the noise level being so quiet and the weight of this generator which I can load in my truck by myself. Looking forward to using it on the job site as well with the toy hauler. So far, I'm a happy camper

I did a fair amount of research before making my decision to purchase the Westinhouse IGEN4500. My only issue is with the automatic choke sticking from the initial shipping process, however it is an easy fix. This little powerhouse is super quiet. I could her my friends generator from across our camp over the Westinghouse generator. It delivered all the power we asked of it. I look forward to many years of service.

After tons of Research I choose the IGEN4500. RV ready, remote start, low Decible level rating and display that shows real time information. Out of the box it fired right up. Big enough to run trailer yet small enough to still lift and move around. Retractable handle is awesome and stores out of the way. Really impressed so far.

I bought this as an "APU" for my semi truck, very quiet, Low fuel consumption kept mostly around 25-50% load can easily run 10 hours with more to go, possibly 16 hours i could get out of one tank. I love the wireless remote to turn on and off Does have a slight issue even not on efficiency mode with keeping up with the surges of around 1600 watts (portable AC unit) Voltage drops quite a bit, does recover but sometimes electronics end up like they dont get voltage for a split second. Other than that, an addition to have is maybe some holes or U points for securing with chains as big as 1/2 inch. Maybe an addition to it is to be grounded. so its not a floating ground. 50 hours of use currently
