Bought this generator to use as a backup for my shop if the power goes down for an extended period. So far I haven’t needed it but it fires up on the first crank with the electric start. The extendable tote handle and wheels make it very convenient to move around.

Fantastic generator. All pre-assembled... only had to connect battery and add oil and fuel. Started right up and performed admirably. Many key features but on the top of my list is the unit's "Efficiency Mode Switch". This allows unit to self detect actual load allowing unit to run at a lower RPM... not only saves fuel but really makes it quiet. Speaking of decibels, I replaced a fairly new open frame generator and wow... what a different in dB output.. this iGen4500 is super quiet for a generator.. my neighbors have cancelled their "tar-and-feather" party for me now that I've gone stealth! Additionally, my previous open-frame (non-inverter) generator had a higher THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) threshold (<23) while this unit has a <3 THD threshold.... why is this important? Because higher THD units deliver "non-clean" power which is risky to sensitive electronics. My open-frame generator would not power my UPS.. as UPS sensed unstable power and would not accept power to charge/run unit. However, UPS was quite happy with the iGen4500 power signal. Only used for a short time but seems to work well. 1 big problem was automatic choke was disconnected during shipping and would not start. Seems to be an easy fix and a constant problem with this unit. I searched online found many others with the same issue. I resolved the issue fairly quickly but not after being very frustrated it wouldn't start. Manufacturer should have this problem resolved.

In preparing for a trip to northern California with it's possible rolling blackouts I spent many hours searching for a generator for our 32 foot fifth wheel. I came across reviews for the Westinghouse Igen4500. It had high reviews and was rated very quiet and was fairly light. I really wanted the duel fuel but it was out of stock so I ordered the gasoline model when it became available. I unboxed it yesterday. the battery was not secured and had knocked the door off the generator. the battery was still fine. I secured the battery with the strap, hooked up the cables, and reattached the access door. After adding the oil I flipped the battery switch on and hit the starter button, Within a second it was quietly purring. I plugged in my RV and turned on the AC. It kicked on with no hesitation. I am very pleased with my purchase and look forward to our first outing with power on the go.

Bought this because our old conventional generator was too loud and annoying during an extended power outage at our home. This unit is very quiet and should be safer to use with our electronic devices. We won't have to refuel as often with the larger tank and easier for my wife to use with the electric starter.

purchase a week ago and was very pleased with the display - fuel - power output - hours and time to refuel remaining. very quiet. I can have a conversation very close by generator, came with battery, battery charger, oil and oil spout, tool kit. easy pull-out handle and rear wheels makes it a breeze to move around when you need to. I highly recommend this invertor/generator you will not be disappointed.

Bought this 8/24/2020. Love the quietness of this generator and it use to do the job when we lost power. Last week we lost power in a storm. Turned on on fuel switch, started the generator and I smelled gas. Shut it down and fuel was leaking onto the floor. The carb float bowl gasket is shot and leaks fuel. Cannot find parts for the Huayi carb to save my life. Westinghouse Parts store is out of stock on full carb replacement.

I bought this product about three months ago after doing extensive research and reading many reviews. With the threat of snow storms in our region, I finally decided to open box and fire up the generator for the first time. I was pleasantly amazed how easy it was to get it started. The instruction is simple and easy to follow. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the battery cables, negative and positive, are already attached to battery (not what I initially expected). All I had to do was attached the battery cable bundle into the cable attached to the generator via a quick-connect attachment. Oil fill up via plastic downspout provided is a breeze. I like that the downspout actually screws in for added stability and seal while pouring the oil to prevent oil spillage altogether. Fuel fill up is even easier. The start sequence is so simple. The generator started within two seconds of pushing the start button. I am impressed with the low engine noise. So far I am satisfied with my purchase. I know I have yet to put the generator to the test with multiple loads over a period of few hours but I'm quite optimistic that it will deliver as expected. I am also excited about the remote start/stop feature. I know my wife is excited about that feature also.

We purchased this product for emergency outages. Thankfully, we have not had to test it yet. However, I am very pleased with the components and ease of movement. It is very heavy and has a leveraged handle so it can be rolled anywhere, even for someone who does not have much upper body strength. The accessories included the oil and other needed components. We purchase the fuel that has a long shelf life so we are ready for the next emergency. Our son has the exact same equipment and has successfully used if numerous times with awesome results!

I just purchased this generator as a replacement for my old Boliy. There is no comparison performance or feature wise between the Igen4500 and my old generator. The Igen4500 handles our trailer power requirements with ease unlike our old one. Features like the digital display and remote start being standard make using this generator a pleasure. The operating sound level under all loads is far quieter than any of our past "quiet" generators. Well worth the money!
