Just barely out of the box, started up great with the pre-charged remote battery. Selected this unit for the clean power feature to run PCs, TVs, freezers, etc at home during power outages so as to bot damage any electrical equipment. Only feature it's missing is a multi-fuel/propane option (therefore only 4 stars), I don't believe they offered one with that at this time. Will be back later to update rating after more use.

I just received this generator. Switched from a competing brand. So far I like the features this generator has over my previous one. The slide out handle, remote start and digital display are definite upgrades. We will see how it runs during the cold MN winter. Will wait on my final opinion until then.

This is the 4th Generator purchased, have been purchasing for friends after my original purchase 1+ year ago. Found no major issues and all have been running great. 1 exception was one of them was having issue starting, after investigating found that the automatic choke wire became un plugged. Plugged back in and everything has been fine. Remote start is a great included option.

I bought this a few days ago and am very pleased. It starts right up, is very quiet and powerful. This is well made and is easy to service, except for oil changing, which would benefit from a larger access door. Evidently the auto choke starting problems (wire disconnected from factory) have been resolved at the factory level and all is well. I highly recommend this generator.

The unit would not stay running upon receipt unless the fuel shutoff was nearly closed. Contacted the technical support line and created a case. However while waiting for a tech to call back, I found a service bulletin online for re-attaching a wiring harness that comes loose during shipment. Once I completed the repair, unit seems to work great. Sounds like this connector needs to be redesigned so it doesn't come loose.

I bought this 3 weeks ago and took it on a cross country trip with my travel trailer. It easily handled the loads of my trailer at boondocker type campsites. It is easy to use and directions for start up and break-in (5 hours) were very clear. It started up immediately and has continued to run flawlessly.

The unit arrived with minimal damage to the packaging, however the plastic housing on one side was cracked. I called customer service and I am currently waiting for a replacement piece. I have used the generator just a few minutes and it is easy to use. I had it running my 15,000 BTU rv a/c with no problem. So far I am very happy with this product. The one thing that needs to be mentioned is that this generator needs a high altitude kit to run properly at any altitude over 2000'. It is easy to install, but it is not mentioned in the literature.

The assembly was easy. Instructions were easy to follow (see below comment). After getting everything set up it started right up using the remote start and the push button start. It took numerous (12-15) pulls on the manual start to get it started manually. I hooked the generator up to my RV and it ran the air conditioner without any issues. The generator was using 50% power to run the air conditioner. Hopefully this generator will work for years to come. I wish this was made in the USA since Westinghouse is an American company. Unfortunately it's not. It's made in China. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is for the following reasons: 1. The battery is not secure and when you lift the generator by the handle the battery falls out of place, opening battery door, which promptly falls off. I used two large zip ties to secure the battery. 2. The control panel on the front of my generator does not match the schematic I was supplied with in the owner's manual and quick set up guide. Looks like the generator was updated but the owner's manual was not.

I just received my new iGen4500. It looks like a well put together piece of machinery. They have included the oil, funnel,spark plug tool, and a understandable instruction book. I have not yet had the chance to use it. I never thought I would be looking forward to the next storm that takes out our electric power. I'm sure that this Westinghouse iGen4500 will more then meet my expectations. Thank you Westinghouse.

Just received the Igen 4500 gas generator with remote start. Filled it with oil and gas. It started right up. I ran it for a 2 hours and it ran smooth and very quiet for a generator of its size. The wife was in the house and didn't even know i started it. I am looking forward to using it when we go camping and as back up power for our house. I hope it
