We purchased this product and assembling it was ridiculously difficult! We had to grease the parts and use a rubber hammer to get them to slide together. It took two of us and was still awkward and difficult. Screws did not line up well and no tools were included to help with assembly. I would have paid extra to have the two different sized wrenches needed, included. It would have been best to have the same size screws and one size tool, included.

Bought this outdoor storage deck box to store all my pool equipment and kiddy pool toys. I thought it was very attractive and just what I needed. With a year or so after my purchase the hinges all rusted along with and cover supports which all rusted and stained my pavers and is a real eye sore. If you plan on using it in Southwest Florida think twice as I am in the process of throwing mine into the garbage.

Nothing but absolute cheap junk at this point. We bought this deck box thinking it would be similar in quality to some of the Lifetime made folding chairs that we had purchased in years past only to find out they’ve cut back on quality and no longer care to build a good product. The plastic is ao thin that the locking tabs, which were clearly out of spec to begin with, just collapsed while trying to assemble the box walls and floor. This will be the last Lifetimw product we purchase as their quality is clearly waning.

Our storage box arrived today via FedEx. After taking it from the box, it was completely assembled and in use within 1 hour. Directions were detailed and easy to follow. Box is extremely sturdy and the support air closures prevent the lid from closing accidentally. I am glad we purchased this and I would definitely order again.

As usual, another excellent LifeTime Product..made in the USA. I have three various sized LifeTime Tables, a round LifeTime picnic table w/three benches. All of which are unbeatable. About two weeks ago I purchased a 60 gal Patio Deck Box for my front porch and it went together with no problems. A week later I received the 130 gal Patio Deck Box for my back patio which went together even quicker (about 20 mins) as I knew what I was doing. Assembly is rather easy, just follow the instructions. I did predrill some of the screw holes just to make starting the screws easier. With a razor knife I also cut some of the flash plastic away from a few of the screw holes to facilitate easier insertion of the bolts to hold the lid hinge to the box. I am impressed with the lift supports (2 on the 130 gal, 1 on the 60 gal) which hold the lid up and prevent it from crashing down on your hands. Overall I can not be more pleased with these products. The quality is just so apparent. Well worth the money. I previously had a other major brand of Patio Deck Box and the Arizona sun ate away the lid away and the tan color stained pretty badly. That box was probably at least 5 years old. I will be curious to see how these new LifeTime Deck Boxes hold up.

Fabulous storage box. Really well made and all the parts fitted together easily. The instruction booklet is very clear and gives great assembly advice. It was a pleasure to assemble and the supplied screws and bolts were great. I would highly recommend this storage box to anyone wanting a good quality product. Many thanks.

Bought this in 06-2014 and placed in the open. A week after a torrential downpour I noticed a terrible odor emanating from this deck box. I pulled all the stuff out only to realize that the panels filled high enough with rain water so that the interior weep holes began to expel water into the deck box. This was very disappointing as my other deck boxes are WATERPROOF. Lifetime Customer Service said they make no claim of being waterproof - so I'm the idiot in this transaction. If you buy this to store under a covering, you'll be fine but outside in the elements is NOT the place for this deck box. Look for a Suncast instead.

We have a Lifetime model # 60040 for years! This is our second purchase not to replace but in addition too. It has served us well! The only complaint is the rusting of the hardware! I think a product used outdoors should have weather resistant hardware!

Awful design. Installation was horrendous. Tabs don't line up. Had to cut so much excess plastic off. Factory quality control should be ashamed. The designer stole an engineering degree. "Screws are a bit larger than the metal they go through. Use a ratchet to put them in" Ok genius. No problem. Anybody know what happens to threads when you ratchet them through a smaller diameter metal hole? Yup. It ruins the threads. So they are loose when you screw into the plastic. You will curse while assembling it. I guess the positive is the plastic will last forever. Congrats. Don't buy this.

As a pool owner with grandkids and a BBQ guy with charcoal, wood pellets and gear, I need outdoor storage. This is reasonably easy to assemble and superior to the Rubbermaid competitor (easier to assemble and easier to fall apart). Squirrels CAN eat through the plastic if you leave bird food inside (I now keep the birdfood in metal pails inside the container). BUT this is a TERRIBLE emergency casket. It is unwieldy with a body in it, there is leakage and if you need to bury it it is too big.. body bags are simpler and you can get them for about 40$ each. ....you never know.
