Not juicy and flavorless

The last time I bought a cantaloupe it was hard (did a pickup order) and after cutting it open there wasn't a lot of juice. I tasted it and there wasn't any flavor. My dog that loves cantaloupe had zero interest in it. I've had similar results from the grocery store. I don't know what's going on with the produce, but it's troubling to say the least.

Off-season (2025-06-03). Weren't ripe when picked

I have bought two of these within the past month and both were crisp and not sweet. We had to throw them away because it is widely known that unripened cantaloupes are for not good for the human digestive system. The navel was bulging outside of the melon and I have to assume it was picked before it was ripe. (Cantaloupes do not ripen once picked so "there's your sign".). I gave it two stars because I ordered it off-season. I have bought delicious ones from Aldi's this year but their produce is usually grown outside of the US. I do expect that the ones Sam's Club sells will be better later in the year but not right now. (2025-06-04, Southeast TN, USA.). Try them later in the year. They have wonderful health benefits and, as I have been told, are good for cancer prevention.

Big lies on Large Cantelope

They should just call these cantaloupe so when there aren’t any large ones or your shopper for curbside picks the smallest grapefruit sized one to give you. I wish I could leave a picture. I’m 4’11” with small hands and I can palm this like a proballer it’s so small and lightweight. Next to the haas s avocados I purchased it’s hilarious. Makes them seem like them must be huge.

Rotten

New to Sam's. All produce I got was in bad shape, but these were the worst. Completely molded and rotten inside. This is from cost cutting, usually freezing and thawing, practices which increase rot and bacteria growth. Not worth the discounted price if they go directly into the trash.

Decorative Boulder

I bought these rock hard, and planned to wait a for days for them to ripen. Nope- these things were decorative bolders sitting in my kitchen for 6 weeks. They were still rock hard when I trashed them. Waste of money, time and space- do yourself a favor and DON'T BUY THESE..

Yuk

Not only did it taste funny. It wasn't large, it was mini. It was rotten one day after purchasing. Very disappointed
