Excellent Canaloupe!

Couldn’t wait to eat some fresh cantaloupe we picked up this morning. We cut into it and it was rotten. We’re at the mercy of the people picking out our produce because we’re vulnerable and can’t come in to the warehouse. I gave a star for good service because it’s always good. But the cantaloupe, not so much.

Fresh, sweet, ripe and juicy! I purchased 2 cantelopes, and they were so delicious I ordered 4 more. Everyone in the family enjoyed them!

I'm surprised by the bad reviews. I buy groceries online & pick up in store. Have bought cantaloupe several times. Fragrant & sweet every time.

The cantaloupe I bought today at Sam's in Killeen TX was hard and not sweet at all. Contrary to popular belief, these melons DO NOT ripen once removed from the vine. Threw the whole thing away. Will ask for my money back when I return to Sam's.

New to Sam's. All produce I got was in bad shape, but these were the worst. Completely molded and rotten inside. This is from cost cutting, usually freezing and thawing, practices which increase rot and bacteria growth. Not worth the discounted price if they go directly into the trash.

The last time I bought a cantaloupe it was hard (did a pickup order) and after cutting it open there wasn't a lot of juice. I tasted it and there wasn't any flavor. My dog that loves cantaloupe had zero interest in it. I've had similar results from the grocery store. I don't know what's going on with the produce, but it's troubling to say the least.
