[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like a lot of folks getting into their late 50's or early 60's, my Dr strongly recommended I go on a cholesterol lowering statin medication. I remember at the time I was having back problems, I also developed shingles...and my legs began to feel like I was carrying a couple bowling balls in my thighs. My brother just happened to ask me if I had ever taken any cholesterol medicines. I said, it's funny you asked, I just started about a month ago. He said you have to really watch how your leg muscles tolerate a statin-why my Dr hadn't mentioned this, I'll never know? I called him the next day and he said "Oh yea, that happens go to the store and get yourself some CoQ10. I purchased the cheapest brand not knowing anything about it and I got some minor improvement in terms of regaining a little bit of muscle elasticity in my thighs. I luckily then mentioned it to an older neighbor of mine who was really into vitamins, supplements and conditioning. He said you have to try a Qunol product and from that day forward, I still take one Qunol CoQ10 everyday and the difference was remarkable.
