- 5 out of 5 stars review9/12/2026I just bought this, and I feel like I am ready for any more power outages. It was simple to assemble, and it doesn't take up much space in my garage.
Let there be POWER!

- 5 out of 5 stars review6/14/2025As a 78 year old, love the remote start option - main reason for purchase. Also had electrician hook up an outside box to plug into electrical panel, eliminating cords and plug all over house. All just in time for hurricane season and the excellent power of this generator will operate all essential electrical needs.
Excellent Features/Power
NoiseyOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/7/2025I bought this 6 months ago after going through hurricane Helene and not having well water nor electricity for almost a week in addition to not having a transfer switch and having to run extension cords through the house. My old generator went out and I had another old generator new in the box as a back up, however it was not sufficient enough to run everything nor maintain everything therefore in order to prepare for the future hurricanes I bought this new Westinghouse one, which I was able to apply to more fridges, freezers, hvacs, water heater, and well water and perhaps not all at the same time depending on amps but at least several at the same time and alternating too. Also, I had installed a transfer switch that provided more power t...
Love This Generator
Becca2024Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/20/2025We did not open the generator for several months after we bought it until we actually needed it. We had a small broken piece on the propane quick connect. Support answered the phone right away and was exceptionally helpful!! We are very pleased with our generator thus far!
Wonderful support
HmyersOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/17/2025I did a lot of shopping online and found this to be the generator to be able to take of my family during an emergency. It offered more, at a better price point than others on the market. Had it running an hour after delivery, Loved the push button and key fob start, but also has emergency pull start if battery is not charged. I know I'll be ready for any future emergencies
Great features and price
Wgen25WgenOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/14/2025I bought this for emergency power and to power my RV. The remote start is a great feature and very easy to use. The documentation is well written and easy to follow and the setup was a breeze. Generator does everything I need it to do. Highly recommend!
Very happy with this generator
Rsquared-DsquaredOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 3 out of 5 stars review6/23/2025This thing is loud and the power it produces is "noisy" and not good for computers; even those connected to a UPS. My APC UPS(es ... plural) switched back and forth from battery to AC power. It is a good, easy to use generator and fine for emergency back-up, but not if you want to be able to work from home.
Loud & Noisy Power
P SharmaOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/23/2025Have been researching portable generators for several years, and decided that this one will be perfect for our needs! Live in a forest, and often have power outages during/after storms. Thrilled that we now have this Westinghouse generator to power necessary household appliances when our power is out.
Perfect for our needs
Diane & BruceOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 1 out of 5 stars review5/6/2025Bought this generator a few days ago before a tornado hit the farm, I dug it out of rubble, put oil and gas and ran for a week while power was out. I gave the item five stars. Then I emailed company to ask about a manual and buy a new gas tank and frame. I got a snarky response saying none of it was covered under warranty. I guess they thought I believed the generator was covered from tornado damage lol. After giving five stars and a glowing review. I emailed back and told them that I was just looking to buy a manual at least. They are sending a manual for free but gave me a link that says nothing about Westinghouse parts. Tried going to Westinghouse website to see if I could talk to someone, good luck with that! It's email only. A produc...
Re thought my review
Hp farmsOriginally posted onwestinghouse.comeCommHi, Thank you for your review. We're truly sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you bringing it to our attent... - 5 out of 5 stars review5/24/2025Got this to use for more comfort during hurricane power outages. Having the ability to switch between gas and propane was important to me, it allows me to run for more days if places are closed up after a storm. Have the 50amp outlet so I can run off the fuse box, so much easier. The manual was comprehensive and easy to understand. I now have peace of mind that when hurricane season arrives, I'll be prepared.
Loaded with options- Beast of a unit for home use!
ronaldavOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/26/2025I just bought this to replace my Firman generator. I much prefer the control layout, especially the natural gas inlet. My gas hose is 3/4" so I have to upsize the inlet quick connect. The gas inlet port on the Westinhouse is right out in the open and very easy to swap out. The gas port on the Firman was PITN to change out. The 9500 Westinghouse is about the same size and weight as my old Firman 7500.
Excellent Quality and Value for the money
VolfyOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/13/2025Purchased this unit as an emergency back up power unit. Due to hurricane season right upon us, I needed a tri-fuel generator that will run most of the crucial appliances in my home. Although the unit is very heavy, it was easy to unbox/unpack and attach the wheels and feet. This is the first step in the set up. Adding the oil was also very easy with the custom funnel and finally connecting the battery. I first ran the unit on propane and then on natural gas; the unit cranked up on the first try each time. It ran very smoothly. The electric start is very easy and a game changer. I did not run the unit under a load; I'll do this later. Very Pleased...I'm hopeful this will give me many years of service.
Easy Setup - Easy to Use
Cajun TomOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/29/2025After researching and comparing multiple generators, I decided to purchase this generator. The capability to use gas, propane, or natural gas was a big plus since I live in Florida and do have a natural gas supply. Sometimes gas and/or propane is difficult to find in the immediate area right after a hurricane. The output will be more than enough to run the refrigerator a couple of portable A/C units and lights if our power goes out.
Tri-Fuel is a definite game-changer
FloridaGirl98Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review6/19/2025Finally got to test out the generator last night and was pleased with its performance. I love the fact that the generator is tri-fuel. We have it setup to run on natural gas and using the 50 amp port on the generator and an inlet switch we had installed on the house it was able to power two traditional fridge/freezers, a deep freezer, fans and lights throughout the house (5 bed/4 bath two story home), and a mini-split. The fact it has a breaker switch on the generator that'll flip if you overtax the generator is nice to know so we don't accidentally overload it. Just remember to flip the main breaker switch on the generator to the on position when you're ready to use it to power your appliances/house. I forgot about this and spent 15 mi...
So far so good
Jerry84Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/30/2025I bought this generator as a power outage backup for my home. I have a 2600-square-foot house with 2 AC units and this generator will run the entire house including both AC units on both gasoline and propane. (Haven't tested it with natural gas yet.) I did install soft start kits on the AC units to help with the startup power draw. I'm not looking forward to our next storm in south Texas, but I'm prepared for it!
Runs my whole house
cwestOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/29/2025I needed a new generator & a friend of mine who is a mechanic has had 2 for a couple of years, he couldn't say enough good things about it. So I bought one to replace our old one, it lasted over 20 years. I'm using it to power our house during the storms & my hunting camp over the season. I know it's going to do great.
New generator
Randy24925Originally posted onwestinghouse.com - 4 out of 5 stars review5/5/2025I have not tried it out but specs look good. Nice to have multiple power options for different situations. I would like liked to have known the size of the natural gas insert plug and disconnect connector (1/2 inch) to get the right size quick connection for my home natural gas line
Balanced Specs for a Tri Fuel Generator
Richard TOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/13/2025I purchased this product after I lost power for over 18 hours. What a hassle trying to save two freezers and two refrigerators. The product comes with good instructions and user manual. Very nice looking generator. I have not yet used it, as I haven't lost power again but I am now prepared for when I do!
Well Done Design
BobonpadreOriginally posted onwestinghouse.com - 5 out of 5 stars review5/14/2025Decided to buy a generator after recent storms left us without power. Every Westinghouse generator had very good reviews. Generator has very nice features to make it easy for any user to operate. Received from local supplier, followed assembly instructions and it started on the 2nd crank cycle. Hope I never need it but I feel confident this generator will do whatever we need it for, just in case.
Well made, easy to assemble, homeowner friendly
