Great Features, Good Price, Easy setup

Received generator earlier than expected. Easy to assemble, took all of 5 minutes to install wheels and legs. Well-assembled and totally loaded with features. The purchase price was excellent and I added additional warrantee, all under 1k. This generator will run everything excluding my 5-ton AC and inground pool. I do have window unit ACs if needed.

It's a beast!

Love this backup generator. Was a replacement for an old 30 amp predator that was giving us issues. This Westinghouse 50 amp can power the whole house during power outages. Well pump, sump pump, fridge, laundry. And it's quieter than I would have expected. Haven't tried the remote start yet. That's a fun upgrade. These things just keep on getting better and better. Feeling optimistic and ready for the next storm.

Ease of use

First time generator owner, and after reading many reviews and watching many videos, we chose this one to power our entire house, if need be. Followed the instructions for adding oil and gas, hooked up the battery, and got it running with no issues. Portable enough that my wife can move it around.

Great generator for our condo

Generator is perfect for our condo. Powers everything up and starts within seconds. Glad we went with a reputable manufacturer. Nice plus is that it comes with a wheel kit, some brands don't. Great value, lots of power for the purchase price and very well designed and is very sturdily constructed.

Nice generator.

Bought this as our area has experienced increasingly frequent power outages. The last one was over 24 hours and the temperature was dropping into the single digits. Had an electrician put in a manual transfer switch and bought this generator. It shipped fast and set up was so easy (put on feet, wheels and add oil). It is great that it is tri fuel. I have natural gas outside for an outdoor grill and will run it off of that. Have done warm up period and hoping to not have to use it in the future but if so, we are ready and can power a pretty good portion of our home, certainly the essentials (multiple refrigerators, chest freezers, furnace) or maybe everything.

Excellent Line of Generators

I have extensively researched portable backup generators for our house. The Westinghouse line of generators beats out everyone else in both price and quality. Unfortunately, the 50amp outlet on the Wgen9500 did not accommodate our elbow/flat/angled cord due to the design and location on the generator. There were also missing parts! I had to take away one star because of those two issues. I still highly recommend Westinghouse generators to everyone. Be sure to research your cord types to see if they are compatible with the generator outlets and thoroughly inspect the box to make sure all contents are there. I am going to order another one and try the Wgen9500DF and hopefully have better luck :) I will leave another review when I receive the replacement.

Great So Far

I just received it last week. Getting it setup was pretty easy although it is very heavy and some may need help getting the wheels installed. Once the wheels are installed it is much easier to maneuver. I have not had the chance to connect it to the house yet to confirm how much of the house it will support. It seems pretty beefy so I feel pretty positive about its potential. I will try to do an update later. I installed it to a propane tank and was pleased to see it fire up right away so off to a good start!

Has Everything

Bought this generator to power my entire house, including the AC, when we lose power. Which happens more than I'd like to say. Works great and also the added bonus of battery start and remote start, aids in starting and shutting down from inside the house. Highly recommended

All The Peace of Mind One Can Ask For

Excellent shape (Heavy), zero issue with packaging, easy assembly. As advertised, all parts intact, each Fuel Type in working order, one to three pulls started immediately. Most convenient/bonus feature, Auto Start (Key Fob). Looking forward to years of peace of mind, knowing a reliable source of power is readily available during unexpected, extended power outages.

Seems good

The generator arrived boxed and palletized. Unboxing showed no damage and assembly of the wheels and feet was simple. I filled the oil and gas tanks, but when I tried to start it with the push button start nothing happened. After several tries I gave up and started it manually it ran fine. I let it run for about 20 minutes thinking the battery needed charging, but that did not happen. I checked the battery connections and re-read all the instructions, but to no avail. Then I checked the wires that were tucked up under the control panel and saw two male/female connection wires held together with a zip tie and saw that that was the issue. Once connected, the generator started as it should with the push button. It would have been nice if this necessary connection was mentioned in the start-up instructions.
