I bought the 9500 last year but didn't test run until April 2023 because their has been no power outage and immediately noticed a gas leak when attempting to start for the first time, WH service advised its probably leaving for fuel open/shut valve. The next issue was WH product service providers in my area (4) would not accept WH warranty repairs unless I payed for repairs and let WH reimburse me, I refuse and relayed this to WH who advised ship it back to us for a replacement, this was done 4-24-23, The replacement (open box gen with 5 hours time) will be shipped to me when they receive the faulty gen, What a hassle but over all I believe the 9500 is a good product.

I bought this after hurricane Laura and Delta. It stayed in the box until the ice storm of 2021. loved the feature of just pushing a button to crank it. It chokes it and everything with one push of the button. Hurricane season will be back soon. Hope we don't need it but will be happy we have it

After lots of research I decided to go with a Westinghouse for there great customer support and quality product. With all the different brands of generators out there its hard to find one to invest in where you can trust the product to perform when needed. Westinghouse does just that.

We bought this generator as an emergency backup for the after an ice storm left us without electricity for 12 days. Don't get me wrong, I love the outdoors and roughing it, but that Little House on the Prairie nonsense gets old after a few days and I am not Pa Ingalls. We're on a well, and I've got it figured that this generator will put out enough juice when the time comes to keep the water flowing and keep a light on outside so as prevent that nosy, brat Nellie Oleson from snooping around where she doesn't belong. In any case, we haven't had cause to use it yet other than to break it in and in a way I hope it remains that way. God bless and keep on trucking.

I bought this generator for backup power when the local power grid goes down, which it frequently does during bad weather. So glad I did! It basically powers our whole house! Everything from the well pump to the fridge, even the hot water heater! I love the 6.6 gallon tank, it means I can fill it before bed and sleep knowing it will still be running in the morning. The remote start is also nice in cold weather, I can start it from the window and it will be already warmed up and ready by the time I go out to hook it up. I would definitely recommend this generator.

The generator is an excellent design. Moderate weight for a whole home power system. Adapts on the fly for the available fuel, and is easy to assemble the common parts like the wheel system. Was packaged excellently and had no problem moving. Thank you Westinghouse!

Upon receipt I tried to get the generator running. The battery doesn't charge, so the electric start and the remote start do not work. I tried to get assistance but have not heard back from Westinghouse. I can manually start the unit, and it runs well. It is relatively quiet and can be moved pretty easily, with the fold up handle extension. I haven't needed it yet, but I believe it will do what I need. Now, if I could only get some customer support!

This generator is very easy to operate. I just wired my home for a direct connect/transfer switch and when the electrician connected the generator it ran the entire house without a birp. Even the central AC worked fine. Highly recommend this generator and thanks to Westinghouse for making it affordable.

Bought this a month ago when we had a local severe storm, Our electric stayed on but our daughters was off for four days. After 10 hours off we had to scramble the entire family to find enough space for her freezer and fridge contents. Because of corona virus everyone was well stocked with their own goods to avoid frequent trips to grocery store. It took six households refrigeration space to accommodate her needs and we still lost some of the cheaper condiments etc. Done right, this unit will run my entire house and the fact that it is portable will allow me to lend it out if above described circumstances happen again.

We were about to buy an installed, natural gas whole-house backup generator, but the trenching, new 400 amp service (electric company requirement), and on and on added about 50% to the already high price. This will keep us going through our too-frequent power outages and keep the heat on and the refrigerators and freezer running, and we can always take it somewhere if we want. I do plan on installing a tri-fuel converter, and this generator will easily allow that without cutting the frame of our new generator. We don't have propane but do have natural gas, which will be far easier than carrying and storing dozens of gallons of gasoline.
