I do not like this new packaging. The chicken seems water-logged, it's really gross. And they are very hard to open. I've had numerous leaks in the package when trying to store them. Before, with the old packaging, I could just cut the full package, prep and remove the extra fat and parts and freeze as needed. Now prep time is increased as I cannot do it all in one fell swoop. I won't buy chicken here anymore, unfortunately.

Package leaked
I bought this chicken yesterday and it was the first time for the new packaging. When I got it home, one of the packages had leaked. It must be a very small hole because I couldn't find a hole, but noticed the juices in the one package was gone. When I filled it with water to find the leak, although I couldn't see a hole, it had a slow drip at one of the corners. I decided to toss those because the texture seemed off, but I kept the others since the packages were intact with juices inside. I had to open them to see they were packaged two to a package. I also found it difficult to pull the packages apart with the dab of blue in the middle of the packages. I was worried I would damage the package so I repackaged them before I froze them for later use. I will buy again, but will be more careful about checking the package for leaks, but I also do prefer the old package where I can see the size of the chicken pieces.

While the packages are made of a durable plastic to ensure the wholesomeness and integrity of the chicken inside, though not the norm, it’s unfortunately possible for packaging to be unintentionally punctured. We’re also sorry for your experience with the “glue dots.” You did the right thing by pulling the packages apart BEFORE freezing—that’s when they’re most pliable. From what other members have told us, the packages seem to work better when pulled apart slowly.
Chicken not consistant size
The price was good and the quality of the chicken was without question. The only negative was the size of the breasts in the bag. There were two breasts in each pouch but the size was not consistent. In fact, there was only very large breast and one really small breast in each of the bags. This was fine for what we were using it for but if i was grilling i would not want to use this chicken. The product details state consistent size but this is not the case.
Questionable Quality of Fresh Chicken Cuts
We have purchased the generic Member Mark Chicken breast in the new packaging for some time. Each time we have notices the product appears to be seconds, pieces, or scraps from the processing line. The product is also full of liquid and fat. That makes me real skeptical that it is wholesome. The cuts are not always full chicken breasts, limiting the use to basic cutter and canner recipes. It resembles the canned chicken I have attempted to use. It is definitely lower in standards than what used to be sold under the member mark label. Yes, it is a cheaper price than competitor's or even the label "Rosie" that sells for almost twice as much as the member mark label shown to be available through Sam's. The label indicated as "Rosie" is not always available, either. To me, this appears to me to be a marketing shift to attempt to sell cheaper chicken and using the new packaging as a tool to mask the product change. I expect much more from Sam's while I am paying for a membership. I won't be looking to purchase this item when I want to have good quality chicken to barbeque.
Frustrating packaging.
I really dislike the new packaging. The glue is so strong, holding 2 of the squares together that I have to rip 2 open to get them separated, but I only want to open one square. Seriously....is there not a better way to package? I can't bring myself to buy it anymore. Getting mine from Aldi now.
Shame
When I took the chicken out of the package I thought it had been mutulated. No wonder why Sams changed their packaging, so they can sell a crumby product for even more than before. So disappointed. I would submit an image but there is no place to attach it to the review.
Do not buy
I will never buy this chicken again. The smell when I opened the water pack of chicken was terrible, the chicken breast pieces that came out of the packs look like they got hit by a shredder. This is not acceptable. The older packaging let you see how the meat looked and now you cannot see what is inside. Do not buy this. I threw the whole thing out.
Just NO!
These are not the same quality as the old packaging! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID! I opened one small package and it had one chicken breast and a small chunk! Just NO! NEVER PURCHASING THESE AGAIN! BTW I have been purchasing members mark chicken breasts fir several years so....NO MORE!

The chicken in this new packaging are of much lesser quality than the previous plated chicken breasts. It is impossible to visually assess what you are buying and as I was separating it out there was a lot of disparity in the sizes and there was a lot more fat than I am accustomed to from sams
fatty, tough, torn apart chicken breasts. bring back George's chicken.
