It is a strong plastic that should last a long time! Even in kids' hands, but they better get their own, because my students better NOT touch my new ruler!! LOL!!

The ruler is also easy to clean when dirty. I found the ruler was great for making lines, angles, and measuring paper for cutting.

There isn't much to pontificate on about a ruler, but this is accurate and has a smooth, straight edge to use for tracing if desired. I appreciate a transparent ruler when working and this was great. Not quite as stiff as I'd expect, but I expect a long, good life out of it.

It is very strong acrylic plastic with black printed numbers and markers. It measures accurately and i really like that it is transparent, making it easy to use for crafts. It also has a hole for storage. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good quality plastic ruler.

Marked in 1/16th inch increments on one edge, and one millimeter increments on the other, with 1/32 inch divisions at the one inch and 12 inch ends. It would have been nice to have the measurement start at one end, instead of starting about a quarter inch in.
