I've been in the natural foods industry for nearly three decades. I've tried many,many drinks that claim to offer balanced nutrition and good flavor. I would like to give 0 Stars but I am unable. The has a really bad acrid aftertaste and is also very "chalky" I Wasted a good bit of money on this nasty product. I have been drinking protein shakes for many years, both premade and those I make myself and I have yet to find a plant-based product that is drinkable.

I am not a healthy eater, nor have I ever been. I am struggling with a myriad of serious health issues such as Leukemia, Migraines,Type 2 diabetes, IBS and Fibromyalgia...and I am working with my nutritionist to eat more healthily in the hopes of feeling better. When you are a mess like I am depression grips you and you certainly DON'T feel like cooking, especially first thing in the morning. My nutritionist was upset because I would take my morning pills and not eat anything until late morning when I would start to feel somewhat human. Thank goodness I could grab a chocolate Vegan Shake (oh, did I forget)? Lactose intolerant here, OF COURSE! At first, I tried the Non-vegan option and it was really good-almost a treat! My stomach was bothered, however and when I switched to these I was a bit letdown until my nutritionist said “oh, you enjoy being sick? Don't be a baby.” Wahhhhhh? You know what? I stuck to it and she was right. These vegan shakes took a bit getting used to because I'm just not accustomed to eating “healthy.” I was so used to eating junk and getting sick afterwards, I just needed time to adjust my tastebuds to something new. Plus, it's nice to not to have serious stomach issues or GERD all the time. Did this one shake cure all my health issues- OF COURSE NOT. But i now find it tastes good and I look forward to using it as a healthy way of starting my day. I use it as a building block and it reminds me how good I feel after I drink it. Makes me think- hmmm, do I want to continue feeling good the rest of the day? Since Covid, I've lost 15 lbs while many of my friends have gained weight. I give a lot of credit to replacing a meal a day with the shakes, and enjoying a Orgain brownie bar at night now and then (pretty good). I still have poor judgment now and then, but using Orgain is definitely NOT included in that category. That one recommendation alone was worth paying for the nutritionist.

I've been using the Vanilla Bean Nutrition Shake in my coffee instead of creamer for several years now. It's great if you're lactose intolerant and more healthy than the powdered creamer.

The Chocolate Vegan Organic Shake is a wonderful product. I am allergic to all dairy and egg products. This shake is a great "grab-&-go" meal or snack. It is so delicious that even my grandkids love it. They ask if they can have one of my "special chocolate milks". I know that they are enjoying something that tastes great and is also good for them! Thank you for this great super food. I recently enrolled in your subscription plan and am looking forward to many years of enjoying this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good product from a nutritional standpoint. However, the company needs to improve the taste. It is not good, sorry to say. But, if the company can improve the taste, I would buy it again. Must be new and improved!

As soon as I got the case of Vanilla shake, I cut it open and placed some in the refrigerator to cool. The next day I had one and really didn't like the taste and as such, haven't yet had enough to notice it's effect on my energy. I do know, that the Orgain brand is very good because it is the only protein powder that my husband and I use.
