The coconut itself is great but the packaging was the problem for me. One bag was opened in the shipping box and most of that bag's contents were spilled in the shipping box so I pitched that one for safety reasons. So basically I paid for 2 bags and ended up with 1. Oh well....

Much finer shred than i was expecting. Didn't work as well to make my orange balls look like snowballs but the flavor and texture were great in my no-bake fruitcake!

Bob's Red Mill always has the most amazing products! I purchased this online so I wasn't able to tell that the shreds are SUPER FINE. But, they work well for what I use them for and so they are great!

Very disappointed both in product and service from Sam's club. The product was labeled on the bag as shredded coconut but the product inside the bag was ground very fine coconut. I'm assuming that the manufacturer placed the wrong product in the bags. When contacting Sam's club they were of no help. The only thing they did was to send me 2 more bags of the same ground coconut labeled shredded to replace the first 2 that I received. When I contacted them again their resolution was to refund my money which as far as I'm concerned didn't solve anything. Now I just have 4 bags of something that I can't use. Very disappointed to say the least.

The shreds are so small, it barely seems like you're eating coconut. Combined with it being so DRY, it is somewhat of a choking hazard. Doesn't have much flavor unless you toast it and then not much either. I like that it's healthier because no sugar, but it's not fun to eat. The bag is BIG and I'm just trying to think how to use it up so I can buy a different kind.

This is very fine pieces. Not shredded as in half inch length. I would say it’s chopped.

Can't wait to make my "Impossible Coconut Pie"!

The size of the shredded coconut is just what I was looking for.
